Most everything the WT Society teaches is fantasy anyway- so most JW's will just lap this up like a kitten does milk as they've been well trained by mind control and pre-conditioned to accept it as " Gospel " truth. Disgusting

I find the charts in the article interesting. They are really trying to dumb down the NOOLITE and make it simple. It is an attempt to keep the flock from thinking too much. If they really would dwell on all that this changes, they would have a WTF moment.

I dont get the article, because its circular. Its an article that tells you to read articles from them about artciles written by them about reading artciles from them...
Whats the point of repeating that over and over again...

This is how WT has always done it. They make a statement, followed by, "for further information please see ___" , which references another WT publication. They'll never refer a JW to literature outside the organization. Facts and unbiased source material tend to muddy the water in Watchtower Land.
It's like me saying the earth is flat, followed by, "for further proof, please see the other books I've written that also say the earth is flat".

Citing your own work as supporting references is a sign of poor research (as in "none") and shoddy scholarship. The only time I heard my ex-brother-in-law give a talk at the Kingdom Hall it was hard to keep a straight face; the entire outline was a series of quotations from other Watchtower articles and talks.

Also think about the ratio of disciples to the number fed, how many would be required to feed 7,000,000? More than 8 I think......................
I guess it's a good thing they discontinued food service at the conventions!
Wait, so what does it mean that we now supply our food at the assemblies and conventions?! Wouldn't that be the same as supplying ourselves our own spiritual food too??

Searcher, That is an interesting take that I had not considered before. I think the answer to who Jesus would leave in charge is quite simple. I am sure you have seen the scripture. In his own words at John 14:26- But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
When I shared this scripture with my JW parents in an effort to help them realize that they do not need the "FDS" and that Jesus was clear who was in charge. They simply said they "do not believe that", I said "I was reading a scripture from Jesus own words", still "we don't believe that".
Of course, they insist on the having their FDS security blanket...ugh!
I am slightly tempted to email my JW father and say something like "I guess you were wrong by referring to the Evil Slave (100 plus time-no exageration) being responsible for taking me out of the org because now that the FDS realized that they could be attached to the reference of the Evil Slave it dissapears. Amazing how that works!

Even in Pentecost of 33 CE - a couple of years later - they were 120 at best.
That's simply the number present in the upper room. There were more disciples. According to Paul, over 500.
For I handed on to YOU, among the first things, that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures; and that he appeared to Ce′phas, then to the twelve. After that he appeared to upward of five hundred brothers at one time, the most of whom remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep [in death]. - 1 Cor 15:10
This event was prior to Pentecost.

I take your point.
When reading the Gospel accounts, it can be seen that many people were drawn to Christ by his teachings and became his followers. How many? The Bible doesn't say, but we know that Jesus urged people to come and be his follower.
A dozen on Nisan 14 and 120 at Pentecost doesn't reflect the countless adherents or disciples and others who were prepared to follow and listen to his teachings and discourses - thousands at a time!
Hence the reasoning that 'disciples' spread the food to the masses, not just 12 apostles - a logistical & physical improbability all things considered.
