My wife used to wear some really nice perfumes, but then there were so many "friends" with allergic reactions to them that she gave it up. Didn't want to "stumble" anyone.

Thankfully, our hall now has a special room that all the sisters with allergies to perfumes can sit together in and enjoy Christian fellowship in a bubble!

No more of those excuses for missing meetings!!

(Come to think of it, I've never seen a brother with perfume allergies)

Hi, I agree that it's somewhat annoying, but allergy to scents is VERY real ... that's why I stopped wearing them, as much as I love it. I only wear perfume NOW, when I know I'm not going out in public. Why?

Because one of those scents ... a very expensive one ... it's called Poison.. and guess what? It's poison to me .. it sends an immediate searing pain to my brain when I smell it,,, and if I can't escape (like in an elevator), I actually see black spots and get faint ..

Sorry for the missus, I sooo understand! I love my perfume, but out of deference to others' health needs, I now refrain from wearing it.

Please remember, too, that those 'sisters' may have serious emo problems, which can aggravate sensitivities .. it's not always about being picky and bitchy,,, scents really *do* make folks sick.

much love to you, and if you're dealing with picky bitches, then I do understand ... heheh ;)

I love Tresor but for some reason I prefer wearing Philosophy fragrances such as Summer Grace, Amazing Grace or Baby Grace because they just make you smell so clean and fresh.

I like to wear a little scent, I try to wear just enough that you are only aware if it you get very close. I do avoid it if I am going to be in a situation where people are forced to be close, like a concert, or church. My husband appreciates it. I usually like florals for day, and maybe a little spicy for evening. I like Poeme, True Love, Lily of the valley. My favorite is something called flowers, but I can't find it anymore. I like Chanel number five, but haven't worn it in years. I like Tokyo Milk, they have one called Gin and Roses I like.

Vanderbilt... my all time favourite. Chanel No 5 & Opium are great too. I bought a bottle of Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. last year... different to my norm, very nice fragrance.

I hate, hate, hate Chanel No. 5.

    It was my mother's perfume.

    She never wore anything else.

If I smell it now the memories of my childhood make me feel physically ill.
