The new light re 1919 appointment of FDS demolishes the 'one true religion' concept

Another poster on here called Separation of Powers made a profound comment on another thread recently that I thought was worthy of starting a new thread about:

"In my opinion, the new light regarding the FDS addresses this question, if there was no FDS from the 3rd century on until 1918, and yet the article states that there were anointed followers here and there during that almost 2000 years of no FDS, then what organization did they follow? There was no organization, yet they were anointed per the article. It appears that they must have simply been judged worthy without any affiliation to any standing organization. That point, my friends, will be the most difficult aspect of the new light to try to make sense of. Over the course of the modern day organization, it has been driven home that God does not work without an organization to represent his interests. Well, that is apparently no longer the case."

I think the logic here is indisputable and compelling. One can be of the 'anointed' and approved by God regardless of what religious organisation you belong to at any given time in history.

    Agree/disagree/unsure?

I think you can, because Jesus said the one who does the Father's will is the one who will be approved. The JWs will vehemently disagree though.

I remember the Watchtower's point that there were always true worshippers. They make that point when they say at the annual Memorial of Jesus' death 'this is the 1981st annual celebration of the Memorial", stating that true worshippers have celebrated it each year (even when no organization was available to help them).

But in the last days, they claim that people would have to identify the true religion / organization and follow it to be approved. One scripture they quote in support of this idea is Daniel 12:4 " make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant". To them, the "roving about" in the Bible is the activity of the faithful slave class opening up truths, and true knowledge becomes abundant.

Then they use the idea of Noah's ark to show you have to get in line with the one dispensing truths when that one appears. And they claim to be that one.

So basically the #1 teaching of the WTS is that our organization is the one publishing the truth, and you must follow us to survive the end. It's all very self-serving, and it works for them. They still have 7 million publishers.

You simply must stop trying to make sense of nonsense! It doesn't work.

We're dealing with JWs- they don't need any logic to be Jehoover's special people-- they have the TRUTH!

It's simple: you see, the JW god is so ineffective, so powerless, that he can accomplish nothing without an "organization" if sinful, error-prone humans to work through.

Without that organization god's will has no means to display itself.

Yes, to your point, the entire "new light" teaching completely erodes everything the WT has taught up 'til now- but, not to worry. Most JWs will not notice, and the ones that do won't care.

Yes, I've been saying this since the "new light" was announced. The "true religion" HAS NOT YET BEEN CHOSEN according to their new doctrine. They're simply appointed to feed as some sort of test, which, if they do that to Christ's satisfaction, THEN he'll appoint them over all their belongings. Thus, they're in some sort of "testing phase".

Agree, Jesus himself said the wheat and weeds would grow TOGETHER during this period of grace, notice the wheat were/will be already FULLY MATURE when the separation occurs, no need for "noo lite".

Fleshly Christians need fleshly bricks and mortar, churches, organisations, earthly Jerusalem types, spiritual Christians need the Jerusalem above, fellowship, sharing spiritual gifts in a spirit filled life.

    Good topic, Shalom

Drop their teaching of the faithful and discreet slave altogether as it holds no weight.... GOD will use any organization to accomplish His purpose not just the W.T.S. They do not represent GOD soley....
