Muddy Waters has come to the very conclusion that I saw so clearly before I quit the dubs. Circumstances brought me into closer contact than the norm with "worldly ones" I could see goodness, decency, honesty ....all the qualities of the heart that The Bible speaks of as being necessary. I struggled the question for a little while and then it hit me "It's just not true" "Its just not true...It's just a religion of men, like all the others.
That is when I had to plan my exit..
I remember my wife being more surprised about this than myself. ie: There are really nice worldly people!
I wasn't as surprised or awestruck by this... I think the difference is that I wasn't a born in.
Me neither. For years I struggled with the cognitive dissonance caused by the fact that most people are good eggs. It was usually neutralised by 'ah but they don't love Jehovah, that's the material difference!' Pity a lot of JWs don't love Jehovah either.
