When I stopped attedning, I still believed in God, Jesus, and the Bible. I attended a few churches out of curiosity and rather liked some of the services. But now,I am not a beleiver in much of anything, other than humans just don't know. If that is any comfort to know that there are many more like yourself.
I kind of envy Christians

Este- Many of the aimlessly delusional Atheists are responsible for the medical breakthroughs that save millions of lives a year. You are blind and a fool if you think that is serving no purpose. Those aimlessly delusional atheists do more with a fraction of their life than you will ever do. To consider your farcical rambling purposeful is incredibly conceited oh wise and faithful slave.

Jw's are WASTING their lives. They are secluding themselves from the people they live among. They are purposefully remaining uneducated. They are spending all their time in meetings and service for a lie and a cult. If you feel purposeless then find something to do to make a difference. Give back to the world before you leave it. Make a difference.

Stillin!
you quote from the bible " Faith is not a possession of all people." Doesn´t the bible also say faith is a free gift? Why havent all people got that free gift? Why have so many other people different kind of faith? Is faith just a sort of "trusting in a God", that will appear and fix everything soon? There is a few questions that is worth while thinking of. But unfortunately My Good keep silent. I cannot even fell a trace of his existance. Am I dsf from him? If so what kind of a father is that? He places me on the planet earth, and let me experience horrible thing, without even wispering any clue lead to understand what humans are going through. Is it the same "test" that Job got to know?
The questions are numerous, the answers are few

Christians have hope, whereas people that do not believe in GOD travel this life aimlessly......what a delusion they live....
This is an absurd fallacy.
The idea that a person must believe in things that are either unprovable by evidence or outrightly untenable in order to have direction in life is preoposterous.
By this argument, we'd have to conclude that people, like Galileo, were aimless in life and delusional because he knew, based on observable science, that the earth is a sphere rather than flat. After all, the Catholic Church, a prime "spokesman for God", declared that the earth was not only flat but that the earth is the center of the Universe. So, while "delusional" scientists were striving to move humanity forward, the religiously obtuse were standing in the way of accurate knowledge, hanging on to "hope" while others chose instead to believe what is true.
Poor delusional Galileo! He would've been much better off in life believing a falsehood along with almost all other Christians.
There are some Muslims scientists currently that still hold to the belief that the earth is flat- despite the incontrovertible evidence proving otherwise. Why? Because the Koran says the earth is flat. So, I guess we are to believe they are the enightened ones although they believe in absurd religious tenets, from God no less, while those, predominantly atheists and agnostics, who don't accept religious fictions, are "aimless" and "delusional" and choose, instead, to guide there lives by science, reason and evidence.
As comatose correctly pointed out, it is not religion that is now, nor ever has, been moving mankind forward- it is science. In fact, religion has been the biggest crutch to human progress and enlightenment than any other single entity.
HOPE DOES NOT EQUAL TRUTH.

stillin-I don't have any faith either, and never believed in a kind, loving God. As a child, my parents made us do a family bible reading weekly. I would always be outraged that God had killed all the first born babies in Egypt and all the horses were drowned when the red sea closed over the top of them. It was baffling why a woman would be considered 'unclean' when she got her period, which was forced upon her by God in the first place. If she had a baby, she was 'unclean' longer if she had a girl, this didn't seem right either, if it weren't for girls, there would be no boys. It was disturbing that an animal had to be killed to buy back a first born boy or whenever any kind of uncleanness was atoned for or for sins.
Where did all that nasty, stinky blood get pour out to when all those animals were killed? The area around the temple must have stunk to high heaven and the flies would have been awful.
It always disturbed me that King David had been considered so wonderful, yet he was an adulterating murderer. Why did High Priest Aaron get a pass after making a golden calf, when the guy picking up wood on the Sabbath get the death penalty. Why did so many Israelites get killed because some guy hid gold and a garment or two under his tent. Items he wasn't supposed to have. Why did Jehovah tell Moses 'Hey, someone stole some gold and hid it, go find the perpetrator... instead of letting so many get killed first?
Faith always seemed so elusive and made no sense. How can I have faith in any kind of forgiveness if one guy gets killed over wood and the chief religious leader gets away with making a new god for the people, when he should've been killed? It always felt like there were no clear boundaries defined, which made it difficult to believe in a loving God.
I am more at peace now, than I was when being an active JW.

Christians should envy non-believers, who have choices about what meaning they want their life to have rather than being told what the meaning must be. Christians are de-meaned and demeaned.

In pschology they teach that when we are born are brains are empty.
Then life and our elders and ourselves start wiring our brains.
Now you are at an age where it is up to you to tweak, accept or change your brains wiring.
If you want what someone else has got do what someone else does.
If you want what a Christian does think and do like a Christian.
If you want what an atheist does think and do like an atheist.
For example read the bible and Christian literature.
Or Read Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and secular humanistic literature.
There is no magic pill If you want Gods spirit in you you have to constantly ask for it and
cultivate it.
If you want a spirit of the world and atheism you have to ask and cultivate it.
The good atheist are on here 24/7 cultivating their atheistic spirit. You have to do the same thing
if you want Gods spirit.
If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
