Do You Ever Feel Like You're At A Kingdom Hall Sometimes In This Place?

That question is not necessarily a negative one. There are so many different types of people here and you have your ex elders and former zealots and weaker personalities and everything in between.

sometimes, not all the time, it's hard to see the behavioral difference between a former JW and a current one.

This place or any place. Walmart. Sports event.

Anywhere you have a crowd of people you will have all the same personalities.

R&F JDubs are not any different. Yeah most are a bit "strange", but there are a lot of other "strange" people too.

The main difference is that all of these other places are more tolerant of differing views, differing choices, differing decisions, different thinking.

At the KH they'll cast you out if you're determined to be different.

And that applies to being cast out of their "clique" OR to being tossed out the whole darn religion.

I think some folks want to turn this place into a hall so they'll feel more comfortable (you potty mouth you, I'm telling an elder!) but no I don't feel like I'm in a hall on this board. Besides there's no kingdom hall smell.

LoL, no I'm talking about the book smell. Every hall I've ever been to had the same book smell when I walked through the front door. I know I'm not the only one to notice it.

Wouldn't come near here if it felt anything remotely like a KH.

It does, however, give us good insight into the real workings of a KH.

There's some really good behind the scenes stuff here.

    You're not...

It's the ink used in WTBTS publications. The handful of times my youngest has accompanied her mother to the KH, she's complained bitterly about it.

Every hall I was in had a smell from those little moth-ball smelling things they put in the toilets to make it smell clean. Yuck. Just made me sick and wonder how dirty the hall really was. And they always smelled slightly moldy, too
