Only physical abuse? Jesus, wouldn't you know?
My father wasn't into physical abuse. But he was emotionally, psychologically abusive. He was insulting, belittling, invalidating, minimizing, and he was all this at the top of his lungs. And the threat of physical abuse was always there.
Words hit like a fist and do damage that is lasting. Physical wounds, after all, heal up and disappear. I still carry some of the results of the emotional cruelty I experienced at the hands of my father.
Frankly I think that the behavior I describe should be grounds for divorce (of course he treated my mother the same way, and yes, she laid down so that he could walk all over her and us and he still does with her).

Oh Fred! How much you believe the lies that are spoken from zealous speakers at the Kingdom Hall!

Let me inform you that in the state of New South Wales one of the established churches i.e. Anglican Church is one of the best growing churches whereas JWs are showing remarkable DECREASES.
Churches such as the Christian Life Centres and Hillsong are showing incredible growth.
Now Fred, why do you repeat the lie?
As a by the way, churches close when there is either a change in demographics or new replacement churches are built. Isn't that true also of the 'quickly built' Kingdom Halls?
