Told on me of course. Apparently, the other JW thought he was kidding.

I just said, you tell on me and take my family from me, we are done. We will get a divorce and you will lose me, your home, and more then likely won't get to see your kids everyday the way you get to now. And, you rat me out, I will do the same thing to you.

I'm not going to live my life scared of what he might do. He wants to corner me??? Fine, good-bye then. See you later. I will not be stuck and am fine on my own.

This mentality of believing what adults do must be reported to someone else is so childish! You're an adult! I believe you're probably old enough to make your own decisions and accept the consequences. Unfortunately, in your case, the consequences are artificial and contrived.

Congratulations on sticking up for yourself and your kids. You GO, girl!

I agree; religion shouldn't get between a husband and wife and their kids.

It's just a matter of time now before I lose my mom, dad, sisters and brothers. I feel sick about it. But, I made a promise to myself I would really start celebrating everything when my oldest turns 4 cause that is the age they remember things as they get older. I kept true to that starting with the day she turned 4. Even did my version of Easter.

But, doesn't stop me from feeling sad about feeling like its only a matter of time before I get excommunicated... :(

I am not one to suggest what other folks ought to do, after doing so for 32 years as a JW, but I do have an emptiness from not celebrating holidays. There are no time markers or special memories of birthdays, Easters or Christmases. Just summer assemblies long forgotten. I say make occasions for your kids to remember.

When that husband of yours go run and tell about the party

See if the Brothers will chip in for child support that will will cost him plenty.

Let 'em go " Run an' tell that "

As the sayin' goes, " It's cheaper to keep you "

    He needs to Hush

You tell him! When he runs to the elders. I hope you tell them everything!

I only told on myself and the jerk let me take the fall. Claiming he would stand by my decision to confess. He got disfellowshipped for something I did and not all the horrible things he did!

40 years later, I still call him a coward!

You know its this kind of crap where they beat up on people who just want to do something nice for their kiddies that reinforces to me why this is just a nasty, petty, judgmental cult.

Screw this vicious, sick religion and its anti-children, anti-family policies.

Hey Watchtower, leave those kids alone!
