There is an extremely important different between your Summary sentence and the actual petition.
In your summary you call for the reporting of all alledged cases of abuse. The petition calls for the reporting of actual cases of abuse.
Within this seemingly tiny difference, lies all my differences with you and your efforts.
Please clarify. Do you want a permanent record of everyone ever accused of child abuse at any level or do you want a permanent record of people who are actually proven to be child abusers.

Yes, I believe we should define our parameters or we run the risk of clogging up the courts in an out-of-control "witch-hunt".
As with murder,
rape,
theft,
any crime,
ALL CASES OF ALLEGED CHILD MOLESTATION SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE POLICE FOR PROPER INVESTIGATION.

I signed...as silentlambs pointed out, these need to be investigated.
It will be interesting to see what kind of world this mind set creates.
I am already afraid of holding other people's children or even complimenting them on having handsome boys or pretty girls.
I never allow myself to be alone with children any more. Even though I would love to tutor or mentor children having trouble in school, I will never do so. The risk of allegation and the cost that goes along with it is simply too high.
One has to wonder if this mind set is taken to its extreme, whether there will be many people even willing to teach, or give piano lessons, or volunteer to be a Big Brother.
Once someone is publicly accused and investigated for child molestation, they will be forever viewed as tainted in some way whether they are guilty or innocent. I'm sure a number of people will wonder whether or not working with children will be worth the risk.
ALL allegations implies ALL, that is under any circumstances, no matter what the circumstances, must become a police and therefore public matter.
That is one helluva scary scenario.

I try to keep this a discussion about the issue, on which, some points we agree and on some we disagree.
I think you will find if you do the same, you will accomplish a lot more than if you resort to sarcastic responses and calling people trolls.
