I juts watched newcoverage of the trial here: (Scandinavia)

Longest segment in the news, about 5-10 minutes of coverage.

story is introduced as this: unarmed black boy shot by white man, white man walked free.

microphone-holding of protesters who said there is no justice, a black kids life is less worth than skittles yada yada yada for several minutes.

Al sharpton get some face time.

Shot of trevor martin as a young kid. shot of GZ in the trial. notice he didnt show emotions.

report that the reason people think he got free is because the prosecuter made a bad job, the defence was very good.

when reason is given for why GZ was not sentenced, it is: he couldnt get sentenced because it couldnt be prooven beyond a reasonable doubt GZ intended to kill TM. GZ also said(!!!) TM hit him in the face and then he shot him.

if you think your media is worthless, at least it is making up its own racial controversy instead of just copying...

The point I was trying to make is that Neighborhood Watchers are not to confront people who are acting suspiciously or even unlawfully

    in their neighborhood.

    ---

Well - Zimmerman didn't confront anyone. He did what he was susposed to. He called 911 and reported the person. That's a fact. Where is your proof that he confronted anyone? The prosecution didn't have it. The jury didn't see it. Do you know something they don't?

Next, if you have an issue with the neighborhood watch system - deal with that. What you THINK a committee or group should do as part of that system has NO relevance to this trial. In that State, in that community, there was no law or process that ever came out whereby the people testifying ever said a car or a person must be marked or identified in any way. Again - that is your opinion but has no relevance to what happened in this case at this trial. What you have said is not a fact - it is an opinion.

Again you don't like to stick to facts do you?

You somehow believe that you were magically in the heads of both of the people involved in this incident, but you weren't. Nobody was. Your assumption is based on what you CHOOSE to believe and keep repeating. You haven't got any facts to prove what either one was thinking. You choose to keep saying Zimmerman went after Martin and Martin was scared. You don't know that. All we know are the facts. The one fact that we know -from the evidence - is that MARTIN confronted ZIMMERMAN verbally and then followed it with an assault. Those are the facts.

Your assumptions point to not wanting to accept facts. Zimmerman saw a person that looked suspicious based on the fact that the person was hanging around the houses, looking in windows and running into the back dark area of the houses. He also said that Martin looked like he was on drugs or something. He did the right thing. He stayed in his vehicle and called 911. He kept the windows up when Martin circled his car - and Martin while staring at Zimmerman who was sitting in his car - profiled Zimmerman at that point by saying that Zimmmerman was a 'creepy assed cracker'. Those are the facts from the trial.

Your assumption is that when Martin circled Zimmermans car, staring at him while calling him a 'cracker' he was just terrified. I guess you are entitled to that opinion but you still aren't working with the evidence nor the facts. Thats a clear choice. sammieswife

I think there are 2 groups of people:

    • Those who believe TM was innocent of any wrong and unfairly killed because he was black
    • Those tho followed a substantial part of the case and listened to the evidence and the arguments

Sorry, some people are just repeating the same lies over and over and it's sick and disgusting to listen to the insidious hatred.

    "disgruntled"...

Next thing, someone will say "bitter".

I think bitter fits equally well. How else would you describe people who still try to make this about race?

They are seeing the crime they want to see even though it didn't exist and bringing up past wrongs as though throwing GZ under the bus will make those better.

Sounds bitter to me and full of hate and spite.

As attorney Nunn said- 'When you have Defense attorneys who do not respect young black males they forget how limited the evidence needs to be to get a homicide case. I have clients who were convicted on second degree murder with less evidence'.

It is so much like that episode on law and order, a black girl was was killed by a young Hispanic boy. He was set free due to his age, lack of motive etc. The next day he was killed by a young black boy who yelled as the police took him away" you can't kill a sista and get away with it ' ( words to that affect.).

the entire point of all the GZ trial appears to be

a teenage black male was killed by a media declared "older white man" ( although he appears very much Hispanic and now age 29) and so someone has to pay b/c a white person can't kill a black person in this country, even if he was pounding his head into the concrete sidewalk. That is all I hear when I hear Jessie Jackson and the rest of the race hustlers.

Its a known documented fact that TM ran after the first visual and verbal contact with GZ in his car.

If he didn't think he was threated by GZ appearance why did he start to run home.

TM started to run toward his father's house around the corner to where GZ was sitting in his car.

When TM realized that GZ was running after him he most likely stopped and the physical confrontation started.

One can easily piece the events concurrently from the information gathered.

Again I like to stress that its was GZ responsibility to identify who he was, it would have been the smart thing to do and the right thing.

Where in people's minds is it fair and OK to kill a teenager or anybody during a physical fight no matter who started it ?

Particularly if the combatants didn't produced a lethal weapon during the altercation.

This Florida self defense law is too loosely constructed, it opens the door to possible situations of people murdering/killing others when

its at a person's choice to do so without any libel consequences.

Viola- What do you hear from those in the media and private citizens who tout the ideology- 'I would have shot him'.

What is truly disgusting to watch it people calling for an execution and promoting images of GZ with crosshairs on his face.

People learnt nothing from the Gabby Giffords incident - it is irresponsible and reckless to be promoting the kind of vitriol, hate and unlawfulness that the so called "black leaders" seem to be doing right now. It is sick and disgraceful but we all know they see themselves as untouchable.

Sadly, enough dumb people will go along with it and believe everything they have been told. We've seen how people are convinced by just 15 months of constant media spin ... imagine a lifetime of racist propaganda and this is where we are.

The civil rights movement did great things and made great progress. Progress that was long overdue and necessary. We now seem to be marching backward and race issues are going in reverse.

To call this the most important civil rights issue in decades would be laughable were it not for the amount of damage that this causes and how important it is not to devalue real abuses and promote justice instead of revenge killings.
