Earth is not a paradise and we all die "naturally", so SOMETHING is definitely wrong with this picture as you point out. Jesus has pointed out the solution, and it is a different solution than that which is proffered by the WT. That is the point of this thread.

Teaching children that they are somehow broken or faulty and in need of cleansing or forgiveness is child abuse.
In your view do the kids who die from starvation get to go to heaven or are they just dead and gone as a casualty of the process?

Perry what is sin? that simple question is relevent to to the good news and your origional post. So what is sin?
I don't think I ever understood exactly what was so great about the "good news" according to the WT.
According to them, life is a constant loyalty and endurance test. If you obey the GB well enough your whole life you can make it into the new system where you will have another 1000 years to prove yourself worthy not to be annihilated. If you pass that test and then live perfect lives you will be able to have a pet lion without getting annihilated.
To make it even less attractive, they are constantly telling you that you aren't doing enough for Jehovah's organization. Even people who have pioneered faithfully for 50 years aren't sure they will make it.
Not exactly the rest Jesus promised in Matthew 11:28 or the "kindly yoke" and "light burden" offered in Matthew 11:30...
It seems religion teaches sin primarily as a verb, whereas the focus of the unabridged gospel is a noun - namely dysfunction.
(Why does the "true religion" secretly blind its followers to the "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms?)
I , like Perry spent decades in belief that "Preach the Good News of The Kingdom" was the sole raison d'etre for the Christian church in our time. More recently though I came to reason that Matt 24 :14 only says that it would be preached , not that the Christian Cong had to preach it . On another occasion Jesus said that "The very stones could cry out" if necessary . Jesus' parting instruction was to "Go and make disciples", something the Christian Church has done for thousands of years. I am no longer convinced by this "last days " stuff anyway.
I now believe that the whole thing is a construct by the WTS to prove their importance to the followers. The technique seems to be :
1) Decide on a course of action that nobody else sees the need to do . 2) Embark on it with gusto and talk it up to the flock as being THE most important,life saving & God honouring work that may be done. 3) Point the finger at your competitors and slam them for not doing it.
Bingo! you are then the most important organization in the world and the flock think it is wonderful!
I heard it explained that we are born under the penalty of sin. Since the real theme of the Bible is "grace" which restores the human family, and not the sanctification of God's "name", the sentence of death ( oblivion after the physical existence ends) is not carried out. You can have a get out of jail free card. You just have to take it.

I don't think this is mumbo-jumbo. If everyone really..REALLY applied the "golden rule", I MEAN REALLY, the world would change overnight. There would be a paradigm shift for the benefit of all mankind. The Kingdom of the heavens is within YOU, so act like it.

The good news concerning the WTS was always contained and focused upon
Christ's return and the destruction of the worldly (Satan controlled system of things).
This was probably due to wanting to draw more intension to the organization's
published goods by the executive writing heads of this publishing organization.
The name Watchtower was construed to imply that this organization was revealing
something to the world that no other religious organization was doing through bible interpretation.
You could say that the WTS. adulterated the Gospel of the bible from its commercial intentions.
This tainted commercialized Gospel was devised to attract the publics attention and to promote
people in distributing it themselves in the door to door ministry.
