Go back adn read many of the supernatural descriptions of Jesus and replace Jesus name with Sun and its all true. The sun comes in the clouds, it walks on water, it feeds all creatures, it is the light of the world etc.

All the magical things about 'Jesus' in the Bible are either borrowed from earlier pagan stories or written to retrofit alleged 'prophecies'. The Jews adapted many pagan stories into stories about their own history, and adopted many beliefs of the Babylonians - even their calendar based on astrology - so it's little wonder that they would incorporate their superstitions about planets.

Not everything is based on beliefs about planets. There's a lot of other ridiculous pagan beliefs as well.

The main ones are. All religion can imho be summarised as fertility concerns. The anceints needed to know the seasons and were happy when spring started, worried about dying in winter, preparation for the cold following autumn etc. The big holidays match these concerns and worries.

For fun, feel free to counter this.

Eg the hebrew word for holy is also directly related to prostitution which is of course fertility. Circumcision is but one of hte many penile concerns of Judaism.

The whole Satan vs: god stuff is not what I'd call rational. Mind you, many things in the bible and other so called holy books (eg quran), aren't rational or realistic.

As I understand it the mainstream xtian concept is that Satan made a snake talk to Eve because he was a very naughty angel. Eve ate a fruit and messed up the world as a result. Eve was some old slapper made froma rib. She's supposed to be eveyones ancestor and that's why god is so mean to us all. He is crap at actually forgiving unless he can inflict pain or self harm. That's why God then sent part of himself to earth so he could kill himself and then raise himself back up.

Then nothing happened for a couple of thousand years and that's where we came in.

Still nothing. No second coming. No armageddon. Millions more people suffer still. But god isn't responsible for all the suffering he caused because it's Satan's fault.

Ever since then Satan has been having a go at everyone by haunting second hand trousers and old books and stuff along with his mates called demons.

Makes me think it's all a silly story. God could have found a better way if he's that great.

Satan is the good guy. He's the sharp dresser, got the gift of the gab and exposes god for scumbag that he is.

Of course its all part of a fairie story.

Satan is God's right hand man. He is his antagonist.

He is necessary to God in writing the story of our lives.

He is the accuser in the bible.

He helps God explain free will and its ramifications to mankind.

Indeed. Many pagan rites related to seasons. As stated earlier, the planets are only a small part of that.

I just read Letters From the Earth, by Mark Twain. The first several chapters are written from Satan's viewpoint as he observes the earth and humans. It is an accoun of Satan's letters to the archangels Michael and Gabriel. Give it a read, very very good. After that section it gets kind of boring, but most of it is definitely worth a read.
