I haven't read your posts because I am fairly new here but I just bought the book and I look forward to reading it. I hope it is very successful for you. There are a few people on here that I wish would write their stories because they are funny or interesting and are great story tellers.

Hey Brock,I just read through some of your stuff and enjoyed it. As a fellow ex-bethelite (different time period) its amazing how even years later, almost everything you wrote still applies. Brings back memories. I am starting to write my own book as well, hopefully I can make it happen.

Also I'm very glad to see reasonable prices on the Kindle version! Thanks.

Since this thread was started in the members only / private side of this board, I don't think it's seen by that many people. Just us "special" folks, but not lurkers for example.

You see, I signed out of JWN and then couldn't find this thread at all, so I guess that's how it works. Or am I wrong?

    --

I'm thinking about posting somewhere else about my book release in the entertainment side or some other side of this board. I want everyone, even lurkers, to know about the book. I'm ready to start getting serious about promoting it. So far I have not really done any real promotion... I've been too busy just getting the mechanics of it done.

What do you think, should I start my own thread about this book that is open to the public?

Saw a post on JWR last night and instantly loaded in my Kindle. Finished it this afternoon. AWESOME it simply tells the story as it really was.

    Thankyou - Cheers Brad

Oh! This will be good. So VERY happy to see this and will buy a copy soon. Maybe you will have a book signing and we can all get autographs?

I think you should definitely start a new thread. Maybe put it under the SubHeading of: Personal Experiences (?)

That is a public view and can serve two purposes. Get a little broader exposure for yourself and a google search can direct people here to this site.

Congrats on the completion of this project. Love your thought processes and your writing style.

My hard copy is on its way - can't wait. LTD's threads on here often had me in stitches and he has a real knack of hooking you into the story so that you keep reading. I'm delighted his experiences have been collected together and made into a book.

What do you think, should I start my own thread about this book that is open to the public?

    Allow me?

I'm delighted to see that the book is having such a fantastic response

I cannot imagine anyone picking it up without wanting to read it all the way through. It is so compelling, honest, funny and touching. To anyone who has had even the smallest introduction to Bethel living it will ring true.

Good Luck Brock and thank you so much for sharing your journey with the us.

I love the cover. God's House! ... ... oh its a concrete skyscraper.

It reminds me of how the meetings would go on about "a day in God's house is a better than a thousand elsewhere." What? At the kingdom hall? Bethel? There isn't even the beauty and grandeur of a Cathedral or Temple. JW's really miss out on anything vaguely spiritual or ritualistic.
