Do you have wood floors? What cleaner do you use?

I use this recipe, although I leave out the essential oils. I sweep/vacuum my floors first, then have the recipe in a spray bottle and mist it on the floors (doesn't matter if it's hardwood, laminate, ceramic) in sections and then go over it with my handmade cotton mop cover. My floors look great when I'm done... until someone notices they are clean and spills on them. Usually within 15 minutes of finishing.

I love wood floors. Used some floor cleaner the other day and the floor looked a little streaked. I remembered something I saw on FB. I mixed a little vineger in warm water with a dash of olive oil. They look GREAT. I still like carpet in my bedroom.

I use 1:10 white vinegar and water. It's awesome. Costs almost nothing and once it's dried there's no vinegar smell at all. Just clean.

Plus, vinegar is also a food. So no chemicals. I wouldn't use anything else.

Two for the price of one!

I suggest you call WT Headquarters. They'll put you in touch with a local Congregation/Kingdom Hall in your area. You should be able to find an elder in your area who specializes in both cleaning wood floors and cleans toilets.

Everyone is right about the vinegar. And once its dried it no longer leaves that smell. Vinegar also makes a great fabric softener and glass cleaner. Water, vinegar, and a dash of detergant works better than windex.

Question: What Is the Chemical Composition of Vinegar? Vinegar is a liquid that is produced from the fermentation of ethanol into acetic acid. The fermentation is carried out by bacteria. Answer: Vinegar consists of acetic acid (CH 3 COOH), water and trace amounts of other chemicals, which may include flavorings. The concentration of the acetic acid is variable. Distilled vinegar contains 5-8% acetic acid. Spirit of vinegar is a stronger form of vinegar that contains 5-20% acetic acid. You might be saying there are no "harmful" chemicals in vinegar.
