Interesting experience while protesting at district conventions

    Nice, exactly what Cedars said.

Make sure your placards are large and tall though so if attendants come out to block the

signs you would be able to reach over them, so people could still see them.

It wouldn't be prudent to talk to JWS or verbally confrontational, just make a brief

statement such " please do some research " and keep walking.

Oh yes and never go on private property such the area surrounding the convention site,

always stay on public owned land such as side walks, where its legal to protest by law.

Your work just may Awake some people to rethink what they're involved in.

I like what Carla said. I would have a sign with a pole so long that I could rest it on the ground directly behind the attendants, making it look like it was their sign.

I like "Your children would rather be playing."

Apparently the "spiritual" foundation of a JW is so weak if they simply stand too close to a protester their faith will be undermined.

It's quite revealing when attendants are positioned so as to keep grown JW adults herded in their protective playpen.

WT doesn't have too much confidence in its own people, does it? That says more about the teacher than the students.

Any pics of you and the signs? I'd love to see what that looked like when they were blocking you.

I’m not for protesting, but if I were, and this happened, I would take this opportunity to talk to the attendants. A captive audience!

Years ago there was a similar situation in Germany:

I think that a pole holding up the sign for more people to see and so that the bodies of the Attendants would not be able to block it out would be much better.

I also think that the message would have to be short and east to remember.

My all time favorite would be " JWFacts.com " as it is easy to see to a glancing eye and viery short and easy to remember. States that it contains facts and if and when visited, it would allow the reader to easily navigate to something that interst them.

I think that when a person puts too much info on a banner, sign etc trying to explain UN/NGO, Mexico vs Malawi it get too crammed and hard to read at once. And you know that a true JW does not want others in the area seeing that they are taking a peek.

The last DC I went to (about 2006), I saw some people with placards with words something like, "Jesus is the way, the truth and the life." I heard some witnesses comment that they were from the Devil.

I've often wondered what the reaction would be if a placard said, "Religion is a snare and a racket." That would probably be from the Devil too.

I agree njy about the simple web page address, help up high.

I also thin this idea of people approaching to have conversation is a fantastic way to increase the curiosity. Maybe even "plants" who would walk uo and begin conversations, with smiles and politness. Some others might stop out of curiosity.
