I agree 100%. This whple business of dual fulfillment is such a loaf of crap that self proclaimed scholars have been speculation on is just egotistical slippery slope reactionary bull shit. Oh yeah and the whole bible is about me right? Me and my generation. And part of the rationale for dual fulfillment conveniently enough has to do with the fact thàt jesus prophesied things that did not come true. And jesus cant be wrong right? So he must hsvr been speaking in magical words that have secret double meanings that only siper smart dcholars can figure out. So the reasoning is circular like all reasoning from the bible. Like this: jesus cant be wrong. How do I know? The bible says so. How do I know the bible is true? Cuz jesus said so and jesus cant be wrong. How do you know jesus cant be wrong? Cuz he was super magical enough to make true prophecies. But he made false prophecies. Well look at premise 1. It says jesus cant be wrong. Therefore if kt looks like he made a false lrophecy there must be some other explanation like for instance that part of the prophdcies were meant xto be fulfilled in the first centudy but some would be fulfilled then and NOW. And every single generation since then has claimed to be the last days. It amazes me that grown ups believe that crap.

So a Preterist who is also a universalist, interesting. So you don't believe in humans going to some hell as punishment.
You know that many Born Againers hold to a dual fulfillment view and not just the singular 70CE fulfillment.

"get busy living and make ourselves happy. Salvation is not coming from heaven any time soon."

Hey this sounds pretty good!

Designs: Every Christian is either a preterist or a partial preterist.
Cassuk: You are right on re the great tribulation being a one-time,non-repeatable event in hisory; a fairly local event affecting the Jews in and around Jerusalem and leading to their death or dispersion among the nations.
The Sign to Flee Jerusalem’s Tribulation & Destruction:
18 “When therefore you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not in the holy place (let him who reads understand), that is to say, when you see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand.”
19 “Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house, and let him who is in the field (countryside) not return back to take his cloak.”
20 “For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”
21 “But woe to those who are with child and to those who are breast feeding in those days!”
22 And pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a Sabbath,”
23 “For then will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created, until now, no, nor ever shall be, for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people.” -

'and wrath to his people' lovely.

A much more likely explanation is that Jesus was a nutter who said crazy things. He didn't return because he's dead.

Just another complete failure of prophecy. Not only is Watchtower a false prophet, so was Jesus.

The " Great Tribulation " was one of many embellished stories spoken and written into scripture to posture importance
and relevance to the Jesus God .
Ancient Mythology is story telling expressed by people who were intent in creating power and relevance to their particular created god.
Some of these stories were engraved onto carving such as pictographs usually around and on temples of worship.
The ancient Hebrews wrote their mythological stories into written script, one of the first civilizations to do so.

23 “For then will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created, 23 “For then will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created, until now, no, nor ever shall be, for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people.” , for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people.”
The greatest tribulation that had ever occured from the beginning of creation was the flood in Noah's day when 8 people survived.
One million Jews died in Jerusale in 70ad?
Yet Six million died in the 20th century holocaust!
But hold on!
Jesus Christ said; “For then will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created, until now, no, nor ever shall be, for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people.”
Which means he was not talking about the 1st Century destruction of Jerusalem!
That means the great tribulation is still future!
I just listened to what Messiah said.

When therefore you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not in the holy place
Whaaaat?
Does that mean the temple in Jerusalem was still considered holy!
Even after Jesus Christ had said this about it; "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her,—how often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks together under her wings! But YOU people did not want it. 38 Look! YOUR house is abandoned to YOU. 39 For I say to YOU, YOU will by no means see me from henceforth until YOU say, ‘Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah’s name!’"
and had already raised up the temple at his ressurection which occured about 37 years before the Roman Army came!
So what was The Holy place in 70ad?
The stone temple that Jesus Christ had already proclaimed was abandoned.
or
The temple that Jesus Christ raised up?
You CANNOT have both!
