I think that every JW going out in field service should be required by law to present a simple disclosure document listing all those many dos and don’ts which are unique to the whacky cult. It should say something like the following:

“Before you continue your study program with the Jehovah’s Witnesses, please read this “Disclosure Document” which includes the following list of things which you would not be allowed to do, as well as things which you would be required to do, as dictated by the Watchtower religion, should you eventually decide to become a member:
List of Prohibitions:
(List of things which could possibly lead to condemnation by Jehovah God or disfellowshipping from the Watchtower, both of which resulting in death at Armageddon, such as celebrating any holidays, gambling, hypnotherapy, martial arts, fornication, masturbation, etc.)
. . . .
List of Requirements:
(List of things all members must do, including regular meeting/assembly/convention attendance, study of only Watchtower literature, field service recruitment, etc.)

NOTE: Failure to willingly comply with any of the foregoing, including any and all changes and amendments thereto made from time to time at the sole discretion of the Watchtower Governing Body, by any member of any age will automatically make such member subject to disfellowshipping. Immediately upon disfellowshipping of any member, all other members, including close family members and relatives, must cut all ties and communication with that member, otherwise they may be subject to disfellowshipping themselves.
Please sign and date this “Disclosure Document” and submit it to the Jehovah’s Witness member who has met with you today so that it may be kept on record. By signing this “Disclosure Document,” you hereby formally acknowledge that you have read and understand the above.”

Such a disclosure document should be required by law to be given to any prospective member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to allow the person the chance to make an informed decision as to whether or not to continue. People should have the right to be given a chance to opt out at the very beginning. After all, people’s time doesn’t have to be wasted.
