Ugh. The double talk in the FAQ section is just crazy. I will say, this is the doctrine that I believe most JW's don't really believe.

I don't think the VAST majority of JW;s believe that JW's are going to be the only ones that survive the big A, even though that is what is explicitly taught.

Hear hear. I never believed this, and I believed all the other teachings. It was a simple equation in my mind: "God is love. There are kids and probably lots of adults too who won't have been able to respond to the message at the point that Armageddon comes. A loving God would not kill them. Therefore, non-JWs will certainly survive Armageddon."

When I was more "in" than "half-way out", I never truly believed this. And my uber-spiritual best friend confirmed last week that he doesn't believe this either. There are others with the right heart condition that fully believe they are on the right path and are serving God whole-heartedly. I am fully confident that if there is a God, that he looks on their efforts with a happy heart, even if some aspects of their worship are wrong based on misconceptions. No religion has it right. Not even us-them JWs, hence the new light.

Sugar coating the 'truth'. As the only one in my entire family who ever became a JW, I know well the need to sugarcoat the nuttery.

All of us that come from different places and have been in and out of the WT at different times are proving that this is a JW teaching is proof enough.

I wonder if there is a WT quote about not "sugar coating" things that are hard to accept...that would be an excellent one to find to add to the description text of the video...

So the proclaiming of this message under these adverse conditions serves a good purpose in that it puts the message-bearers to a test. Will they obey Jehovah God and continue to proclaim God’s ordained message or will they water it down, sugar-coat it with compromise, or will they quit altogether and run for cover? Will they stick to the organization Jehovah is now using in the earth or will they attempt to break away from the theocratic organization and set up one of their own design and making?
