I too greatly enjoyed the title of this thread!
Ok, so i feel like once again this article is a big F you to non-anointed rank and file (as has been a growing trend in the publications). Nothing applies to the great crowd, they dont even make up the christian congregation lol. They are little more than groupies of the anointed.
And even those partaking are probably not really anointed (FINAL sealing?).
Why doesnt the GB just come out and just say that 'really only the 8 GB are the only ones god cares about, are anointed, considered his witnesses, and will be saved. Everyone else dies at armageddon' and just be done with it.

To show how confusing, complicated and convoluted this lesson is, we had an abbreviated coverage of the Watchtower Study as we had a Special Assembly Day today. So the paragraphs were not read, the conductor handled the part as a summary.
Now the person handling the Watchtower is a very seasoned Elder, past CO and past DO; overall a very good speaker and a very informed WT supporter. Be that as it may, I was very stunned at how even he was having difficulty with this article.
Ordinarily, when a brother summarizes the Watchtower he uses brief notes to cover the lesson, moving smoothly from one paragraph to another, having little or no trouble covering the material.
Not so with this lesson! This seasoned speaker truly had to have a prepared manuscript-type outline that he himself had prepared. Page after page, word for word he read from his manuscript. Half the time he simply read the entire paragraph from the Watchtower cause there was simply no other way to explain the material. He simply could not put it in his own words!
That is how Gargantuan and Herculean the most seasoned JWs are finding these refinements in this July 15, 2013 Watchtower to be!
So if the elite of JWs are having that much difficulty understanding these changes, can you imagine how burdensome and bothersome these changes will be with the rank and file!
Let the implosion begin!

grumble cakes: you are right.
looking at the chart on page eleven, where the great crowd should be before armageddon, where a few late partakers could come out of the other sheep to be sealed (finally),
wt depicts only a scorched earth that would do Stalin's orders proud.
True the weed & wheat parable did not include the GC of OS, (what oversight by Jesus), but
since WT invented them, why not at least give them a place close to ground zero, or into the post Armageddon time axis to the right?
right?

any body noticed the picture on page 11 ? the anointed shining brightly in the heavens ?
here: http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/?contentLanguageFilter=en&pubFilter=w&yearFilter=2013
If you look at the depiction, there are exactly 8 of them even shining brighter than the rest. Coincidence ? 8 GB members ?

This just shows how pathetic the lives of the witlesses are. When they make such a big deal out of something like this, that is a sign that their lives lack any substance. They keep changing when the "wheat" and "weeds" will be separated, and the witlesses act like this is excitement when it is actually a waste of time. And they intentionally make it confusing so people will think they need the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger to explain it. This makes them feel dependent on the organization, so they will not try and figure it out themselves. Even those with IQs north of 135 are likely to have trouble trying to sort it out--and the higher it is, the more likely you are to realize that the whole thing is a scam.
I think this explains their inability to decide when these things are to happen. They keep changing things to throw off any that might think they figured it out, again creating the illusion that you really need the organization to do your thinking. Of course, anyone just going in is going to see through it, and when enough changes like this occur, they are going to wonder if the truth really needs to be adjusted so much and in such insignificant ways. Or, if they really need to make such a big deal--or if anything they say is the truth (the "a generation" is actually those alive when Jesus spoke those words, and their changing that one made people realize that those living in 1914 wasn't true and neither is "those with the wicked traits", "the anointed", or "those who saw those who were alive in 1914".)
As for me, I solved the problem by not being a xian at all. That way, I don't have to worry about whether I am a "wheat" or a "weed". Instead, I simply denounce that I inherently owe anyone anything at all, in an unconditional way, or that I was born a sinner and "need" a savior to redeem me from this non-existent "original sin". Rather, I view Satan as my Savior not from inherent sin but from joke-hova's attempts to enslave me and everyone else. And rather than unconditional works, I work toward developing my own soul--even though there is a lot of work, and a lot of damage probably stemming from earlier lives and definitely from that thing calling itself my father (no, I do not honor my parents just because the LIE-ble says so) and from the witlesses.

The change to the inspection from being in 1918 to now 1914-19 was completely unexplained. There was no scriptural backup for this and very little in the way of even anecdotal "evidence" - just simply a bit about the rebelling against Rutherford. The interesting thing about that of course is that it is portrayed as a "cleansing" yet the whole thing was ultimately about a legal struggle around corporate matters - nothing scriptural, doctrinal or pastorial at all.
