I wonder when they will decide to close the Netherlands (Dutch) branch. Small meaningless branch. All could easily be done out of Germany.

Wow... What an impressive list of Prime Property financed through the money from people told they can't better themselves with higher education. They were told they needed to give money and Jehovah would bless them and this building work that was so needed.

32 Prime Properties built with unpaid labor.

32 Prime Properties where the local people budgeted time, money, vacations and their expenses to make funds available.

Many Christian religions would turn these 32 Prime Properties BACK to the local people who had paid for and built them.

All of these properties could have been turned into needed Senior Housing and been given BACK to the Community.

Instead The Governing Body are making sure they keep their nest feathered and do not care about people at any local community level. lol

Are the JW's in those 32 country's planning on their Retirement? Have they figured out their housing, medical needs, food, transportation and general financial needs for their future?

The Governing Body are moving into their brand new Lakeside Country Estate Jan 1st, 2017.

Armageddon is NOT right around the corner.

Good point Lois. The money could be put to building retirement homes for all the local elderly jws. I attended a funeral of an elderly jw last week and was amazed at how old, tired and frail the old faithful were looking, also how many there were. I can see congregations merging in the near future as these ones pass on. If the GB had a moral backbone they would look after these ones.... Jah Jireh my arse.

I imagine it is a fiscally responsible move. The GB is the figurehead of a religious organization that is the front for a corporation which is mostly run by attorneys and bean counters.

Not that long ago, the term they would have used is that they are being "responsible with the master's belongings", but now that they say they haven't been appointed over his belongings yet, this explanation no longer applies.

Funny thing is the Proclaimers (see quote below) book suggests that the Elder Arrangement was instituted by divine foresight
