Hi suavojr, Show unconditional love to your daughter and may be the elders will notice and Df you. If the elders Df you, it might wake up your wife.

Have you thought about sending your daughter an anoynmous email like I wrote about in the thread You’ve Got Mail! TM? How do you feel your daughter would react to an email like "I'm sorry that you were df'ed. Visiting www.jwfacts.com (or some other reputable website) helped me feel better and may help you. Someone who cares about you"? You could also send your daughter an electronic file of "Combatting Cult Mind Control" the first part of next year after it is released.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

    Robert

Hopefully a blessing in disguise that leads to contemplating TATT.

Extreme adversity pushed our family to take a hard look at the "Good News" and follow it wherever it lead.

As it turns out - away from addiction to the Watchtower and to sectarian religion - by design.

Ironically we used only their own publications - which many have observed is their own worst enemy.

Only 30 months of this medicine and we were all cured for good - and finally free to read, write, explore, question and grow at a breathtaking pace.

(Why does the "true religion" secretly blind its followers to the liberating "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms?)

    Thank you guys!

sspo The conventions are crazy but the good things is that my wife decided on her own to shun, even though we went to this years DC.

Crazyguy Good points! Thanks for bringing these up

adamah You are correct! My family does not see the advantage they have for having my support. Maybe one day this will change.

Quarterback You are so right. Will see what happens

    Does your wife know TTATT?

I can't imagine a worse kind of hell than truly believing that you have disappointed god, and he will kill you during the imminent destruction of earth if you don't rejoin a certain cult.

My mother is in the same position. DFed for the second time, full believer. Learning TTATT would benefit her and your daughter immeasurably. If only it was easier to share

Reinforce that she is a worthy, intelligent, and interesting person. Ask her opinion on lots of things and listen closely to her answers. Always honor her individuality.

At some point, ask her if a natural father can love her no matter what, why can't Jehovah?

When she chews on that for a while, ask her if a natural father and Jehovah himself can love someone like her, why can't the congregation give her the time of day?

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for a sinful world....before it was repentant! God's love comes first, not afterwards.

Ask your wife who the Faithful & Discreet Slave is. Then ask her, "Who told you that they are"? She must reply, "They did".

That in itself doesn't mean that they are notwho they claim to be, so now ask her, "If they really are, would they teach us lies/get things seriously wrong? Again, she must reply, "Of course not."

Simply start with highlighting the ninereversals of teachings in the July 15th 2013 Study Watchtower, and say, "These have been deeply held "truths" for many decades by millions, but now they have been revealed as being false teachings and replaced with radically "new truths", so can we now believe the replacement teachings by the current GB"?

Time to open the Bible, and ask her what the Scriptures say about the Org's teachings on -

"Aliens were not part of the New Covenant" - Deuteronomy 29:10-15

"A Governing Body was used by God to resolve the circumcision issue" - Galatians 2:1-11 (Verse 2 shows that Paul was directed - not a GB)

"New Scrolls, containing wonderful new teachings, will be opened during the Millenium" - Revelation 20:12, then verses 1-7

"The 144,000 will rule over the earth as kings in heaven" - Revelation 5:10. Read from the Kingdom Interlinear original Greek rendition.

These are just an example of the glaring falsehoods used by Brooklyn to maintain their clergy status.

Directing your wife/daughter to "apostate" websites could be detrimental at this point - stick to putting the spotlight on what's presented as "truth" and what really is truth. They can't dispute what the Bible says!

    Sorry for my English.

According to the rules you only get DF’d if you do not show repent.
Or….if you show repent….but the elders don’t believe you.

I presume she repents, since she still believes it’s the truth, so how come she is df’d?

Where is the guidance of the Holy Spirit?
Aren’t the elders praying for that?

Ask her how it is possible that she is df’d despite of her being repentant.

Just put the question in her mind.
She knows if she is….and if she knows then Jehovah knows….so how can it be that the elders don’t?

Jezus said that the first command was to love your neighbor and God.
If that is the first command, nothing can come above that.
    Even love your enemy!

Jezus eat and spoke with sinners.

How can it be that the GB places her df-rule above the first and highest command?

Just let her think about it….do not argue.

I agree with many of the comments thus far. Teach your daughter critical thinking skills, tell her she can make choices herself weighing up pro's and con's. Tell her you will support her in making descisions when she has made a mistake, you will help her get up and make a new choice.

Learning to think for herself is more important to begin with than always making the right descision. Do any of us make the right choice always?
