It is very telling when they consider it more important to determine whether a female should wear a headcovering than even thinking about when it is appropriate to start opening and closing a bible study with a prayer.
Maybe that would be just too embarassing for brothers to contemplete at a householders doorstep.

How would that be considered if somewhat "rebellious" sister would reach for the burka in her servicehandbag and wear it. At least she would comply with this rule in its most perfect meaning.

Basically, I read that Jehovah's Witnesses want to suppress women and constantly remind them of that, but not at a doorstep before the new recruit is captured. They don't want the new lady householder to know that they suppress women after-all.

Why would a Sister™ even need a head covering if she is following the command to "go and make disciples" which makes no distinction between male or female? This doorstep bible study thing must be fairly new - it's the first time I've ever heard of it.
I hated the oppression of women in this cult. They put a fair bit of window dressing on it to make it seem palatable but it still was crap we were forced to swallow.
