I was threatened to be shot together with my then 5 years old son, as we talked to a man in a farm house. He took his rifle down from the wall and started loading. Man, is that low. In another place, on a return visit, the guy was then visibly drunk and yelled at me to leave. I did. His house was at the end of a mile-long path going thru the fields, and as I started walking, he came out of the house, rifle in hand, and aimed at me. I remember the whole time I walked the path I could sense the bullett in my back. Horrible feeling.

If those pesky Angels did a bit more thinking they could have made his gun misfire and jam.

I was out with our CO one time and we were talking with a man, standing by his pond. His grown son charged out of the house, shotgun in hand, and barged, shoving into the middle of our group and blasted a hole in the surface of the pond. We looked at the father and he shrugged as if to say, "kids these days."
there are an awful lot of people "on the edge" out there and JWs are determined to meet them all.

It was extreme to actually fire his gun in a non life threatening situation. Obviously he did not take the gun safety courses. On the other hand, perhaps he knows the hell that jw's can make your life become or has lost a loved one to this insidious cult. Or maybe he is just nuts.
I would think jw's in general love this stuff! "oh! the danger of it all and yet we stand firm for the org, err, make that jah!"
The jw's would NOT leave me alone even after putting up signs, contacting the police, contacting the elders & NY. I told my jw in no uncertain terms that this house would become a gun owning house if they do not stop harassing me. Then and only then did they stop. My plan was not to shoot them but rather hold them until the police came. What are you to do when you call the elders, the sherriff, NY and they still don't leave you alone? In my case the only thing that did work was to threaten to get a gun, that finally stopped their constant harassment. I actually had to make a deal with my jw that if they leave me alone I would not get a gun in our home, if they didn't well..... So far, no gun in this house but if they start up again I will purchase one. If my jw has forgotten that, it's his problem.
Why jw's think they can come onto my private property without invitation is beyond me. I would vote for no knock laws anyday! I don't particularly like the political people knocking on my door either! Funny thing, before my jw joined the cult he was livid a man came onto our porch (porch was enclosed and required walking into our 'home' to knock on the front door) and was trying to get people to give money and sign his petition. My jw could not believe the audacity of this guy! coming right on to our property like that! I was home alone and my jw (pre-jw days) came in just as I was trying to brush the guy off. My now-jw was hopping mad! Now he does the same thing every damn weekend.

Nothing can justify someone firing a gun when you know the people are unarmed band not a threat.
He should be locked up for a long time and never get to own guns ever again.

I hope there were no young kids around, they would be traumatised. what ever happened to say 'no thank u, not interested' and closing yr door or walking away. No excuse...

I have asked three times to be added to the do not call list, plus I called and left a message at the hall, they still come. Of course, there is no excuse for shooting a gun over it, but I can relate to his frustration. I work from home and it is very annoying to be interrupted, often I am covered in paint and don't look presentable, but if I ignore them they just keep coming back.
