Is John Barr's funeral talk at odds with New Light?

  John Barr served in the GB and died in Dec 2010 at the age of 97.

  In his funeral talk and the accompanying eulogy tract that was printed, is the final sentence:
  "Without a doubt, he slept for but a moment in death and has now received his heavenly reward and his Father's approval - all he ever wanted!"

  Given that the new light about being approved and appointed over all things is now a future event linked to the Gt Trib, was it correct to teach these things about Brother Barr at his funeral service?

  Will there need to be a change to the script for the funerals of all anointed now?

  well, all the dead anointed, Stephen of Acts to Barr have seen their resurrection since 1918 (or pick your favored WT date) but:

  fresh 2012/13 light:

  this immortal heavenly group, promised in marriage to the Lord are now

  eagerly awaiting the belated heavenly arrival of the true FADS, the 8 and/or their overlapping successors,

  due to leave the earth just before Armageddon.

  It is THAT Group, the last FDS that carries the final approval and appointment over all the Cosmos with it.

  These 8, or follower - uppers, will then graciously share that glory with Br. Barr and the other 143 xyz brides in waiting.

  Br. Barr is only temporaily barred from claiming the price. according to nu (fresh)light.

  if its nu, it must be true.

  Br. Barr never new this, unless he listened in on the last Annual Business Shareholder Meeting or ead the 7/15/2013 as one of the departed domestics.

  That was almost 3 years ago. When Old Light™ was Current Light™, which has since been replaced by w2103 7/15's New Light™. It was okay then. Maybe he did a Bart Simpson and slid under the garage door as it was closing. lol

  this post opens to the idea that we can now identify at least 3 categories of anointed, according to WT writers:

  3) the current 8=1 FADS members and/or their replacements at the prelude to Armageddon

  at the End of the FADS TENURE (1919 - end of overlapping Generation(s)),

  that are the only ones to receive the Lords final approval upon departure. (Only the FADS gets to rule the Cosmos, over all the belongings,-- and [not all the anointed were the FADS],-- only

  the nu lite leaders since 1919.

  Remember when Jesus went up with his first fruits(when the holy ones rolled out of their tombs that society can't explain) which was on the day of FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS? All these dummies are saying is that they are the new Jesus and they will be the ones to resurrect their so-called holy ones since they are supposedly in charge of his belongings. Even though it was Jesus himself who took up the first holy ones, the ones he,Jesus, picked HIMSELF!

  Interesting. So what are the other "anointed" ones doing? What are Peter and Mary and all the ancient Christians doing? Are they just waiting around? One of the "reasoning" points from the WTBTS about how ALL will not go to heaven was that you go to Heaven to rule. You don't go there to fly around and play a harp, or make philidelphia cream cheese commercials. Going to heaven is a job.

  So again, What are they all doing? Are we to see a blinding flash of nu-light concerning the timing of the resurrection? Perhaps they are just staring at the domestics waiting for Anthony M III, and Co. to kick the bucket...

  I remember talking with an elder who served formerly as a special pioneer in Ireland at a social gathering. We were all discussing the changes and current status within the WTBS probably around the mid 90's. He said, "nothing like knocking on a door in field service..."Hello!   Anointed and faithful slave are two different things now.

  As far as I know the so-called "first resurrection" of anointed ones began in 1919 or whatever it is. So nothing wrong with the eulogy from a dogmatic point of view, then or now.

  SBF it's true the FDS and anointed are different, but the reward in Mt24:47 "...he will appoint him over all His belongings" applies equally to them both.

  According to new light, this reward is still future.
