Just told my husband about the special meeting and his response "There is no special meeting". Nothing but lies out of his mouth. I believe he is a ms at the hall and I will bring that up at a later date with him. He also told me he has a meeting on Saturday instead of Sunday. Could they be having this meeting not only on Sunday but Saturday also?

If its a push for ca$h to build Warwick, its time to go on the offensive. With a cool Billion or so lining the pockets of the WTS from the sale of Brooklyn buildings, there is no reason in the world for them to be asking for money for a construction project.

Thats why they will couch it under the new bible, with the comparison to what a nice "worldly" bible costs in a bookstore.

I confirmed with my family that is still in, some have the meeting scheduled for Saturday and some for Sunday. They are traveling one hour to attend at their regularly scheduled assembly hall in the New England area.

i think the hype and excitement they are stirring about the meeting could be a distraction technique. They know JWs are reeling, after all the changes last month. They need to get them to focus on today. Never mind what we said yesterday, except that part about who is in charge now.

They want them all to think that none of that stuff they said in September was that big of a deal... THERE IS A SPECIAL MEETING THIS WEEKEND. It's very important you ALL attend!

Wanda, it's recorded and played both days. So if he was assigned Saturday, that's his day to go. Also, the regular Sunday meeting is canceled this weekend.

As an MS all I have been told to do is to arrive early to "await further instruction due to the sensitive nature of my assignment".

jesus, are you folks still jehovah's witnesses? Who gives a rat's ass what the wtbts is up to now? They do these things to keep the members on tenterhooks, off balance and scared. It's a manipulative snorefest. Whatever it is, the word will get out eventually and it will be completely hohum.
