If the Mormons can do it, why not the WTBTS? New light is wonderous and blinding. As I wrote in What major WTBTS change(s) do you predict for 2014? I could easily see the WTBTS starting tithing (but calling it something else) in 2014 (or 2015).

They have a cash flow problem looming, if not already with them. The "new" Bible will bring in a few sheckels, but that will dwindle.
They will put the pressure on in many ways to give more, and they will not care if the pips squeak.
