I meant brave for realising your mistakes, facing up to them, and making a new life for yourself.

That's generally the first thing they say when you tell them you once were a JW - "What congregation were you in?"

This is of course to check up on you later.

When I sent my letter, I threatened them with the police if they trespassed on my property, and hung windchimes, and a smurf, outside my door. It worked! Good luck and I hope they leave you in peace now xxxx You are in control, you do not have to answer the door if they come knocking. x

How about getting an order of protection because of harassment? Complain to the cops every time they show up. Call 911 when you see them coming to your door and keep them there until the cops show up.

You could also send the cease & desist to both the kh (kh's around here don't have mailboxes) and NY. If you send it to NY it WILL make it's way back to the kh to the elders & territory guy. You must send every year though, they will only honor it for one year unless you also get marked as an apostate or "very angry" on the do not call card.

People should not have to resort to restraining orders to keep these cultists off our doorsteps. We shouldn't even have to take the time to send letters!

Great letter! Loved it! Your home sounds delightfully charming.

My last visit to CA, I decided to check out Beth Sarim as I had just started learning TTATT. It was one more step away once I saw it with my own eyes.

    Carpe Diem!

    I absolutely love your letter.

My only comment - add blood issue, if that affects your personally. In the 60's, little blood was accepted. Blood was to be poured out onto the ground and never used again. Well, all of that has changed. Hemoglobin (the oxygen carrying component), specifically banned until 2005, is now allowed. In fact, all "fractions" of blood are accepted. So much is accepted, that it would make a whole unit of blood if added back together. But, you read in the news that individual JWs are still refusing blood becuase they believe the Society that it is sacred.
