And she's not responded. How can you respond when you're given no ammo?
If you told anyone what the AGM was about before it was screened in their cong, you could DIE!

Julia, true blue witnesses are brainwashed. ANYTHING at all that is the remotely critical is seen as slander.
They cannot accept unbiased analysis of what they believe.
They are bound by the dissonance: everything they believe has changed or is subject to change, yet they must believe it was the truth when they had it before and the new, changed ideas are also truth.
And that it came to them from God Jehovah.
They cannot distinguish the men from God.
In their minds, the same, though they will say the men are imperfect.
It is a circle.
They are really quite mentally ill with it.

Julia..Dont waste your breath..you will never get through to these peeople!
A sister told me yesterday that she missed me at the meetings ( I haven't been for nine mths)..
I said I have issues.....She said that an Elder told her once that if we have a problem
with our brothers and sisters would we stop eating at the table!
I told her I did not have a problem with the brothers and sisters at the meeting..only those
who are in charge!...She said we all have issues!
This conversation could have ended badly...so I bit my tongue and went on my merry way!
Dont feel the need toexplain your actions to them!

- JW: ... stop turning your back on Jehovah and disrespecting the guidelines that Jesus taught us to live by
Of course that no longer includes Jesus' admonition, “Let the one of YOU that is sinless be the first to throw a stone at her,” because THAT'S NOT IN THE nNWT!
- JW: I just don't understand how you can be so negative against the organisation and feel you are close to Jehovah.. Don't you understand you are insulting Jehovah himself?
It's pretty amazing that JWs simply CANNOT see that the organizaton IS Jehovah in their confused minds. They just can't separate the two. This demonstrates the power of mind-control. It's actually fairly scary.

I just don't understand how you can be so negative against the organisation and feel you are close to Jehovah..
This is the biggest hurdle in trying to make any JW see the truth! - the inability to understand that the Watchtower society and Jehovah are naturally two different things

It was never part of the oldest manuscripts to begin with, and to my knowledge was never quoted in any WT literature probably for that reason. It's a nice story, but somebody made it up.
Epic is the word you use to describe sitting in a building with no windows staring at a large video monitor for 3 hrs.
Yeah, but more so if I'm watching a Peter Jackson film, like 'King Kong' or 'Return of the King'. Those were pretty epic, for 3 hours.
So...if the organization does not claim to be perfect, then why is even a minor disagreement with their doctrine tantamount to insulting God? You can't have it both ways. If you're imperfect, that means at some point, you have to make a mistake or teach something incorrectly. Which they do, but by employing their own doublethink version of Magisterium, in fact let's just coin a term there, Doublethink Magisterium, they make it impossible to disagree, much less call them out on an erroneous teaching.
Doesn't seem to make sense to continue engaging someone who accuses you of slander for recounting what they just studied in the magazine they claim to believe in word-for-word. But I get why you do. Problem is, more often than not, it takes something more than reason to wake people up. "Sometimes the mind has to discover things for itself."

I believe there is some contention about that section. I believe some early church fathers believed that it originally belonged in the text and was edited out to remove the implication that Jesus tolerated adultery. The ones that asserted this believed it belonged in the NT though.
In reply to the OP, this is the only thing that showed up in my newsfeed:
"Today was priceless and the best day of my life!! Jehovah is surely blessing his people! The annual meeting is a milestone in my life and a day I will cherish forever!"
Some life.
