This is how they send a message to the BUM WITNESSES in each congregation.
If you didn't get the invite and don't have a new Bible, you can take it that you're a BUM WITNESS.

I guess they wouldn't be too happy that I have one already then?
Comatose-You are prophetic!
This is a Facebook post from this morning from a Witless-
" So is anyone else ocding over their Bibles? I may or may not be thinking along the lines of- i don't want anyone touchin or even lookin at it or inin it in anyway. If u do want to touch my Bible, u will have to wash your hands first and undergo a full back ground check. And there's a very good possibility that I might hover until u give it back to me, with a wet wipe in hand just in case something happened to it when I wasn't looking. WHAT??? Bad things happen to good people ya know. Alright I've spoke my peace now maybe now when I see a wrinkle on a page I can say "well looky there, isn't that a cute little wrinkle in my brand new beautiful shiny Bible." "
Yep. It's the new Talisman of the "better" JW's
I really want to know if that BUM Witness has the next verse written as well ... since I like to read things in context please lower the pants please ;)
I do feel sorry for those witnesses who were unable to attend as they will feel left out. It will be interesting how the Bibles compare as for a few months at least many Uk witnesses will be following along in the old Bible and changes will leap off the page in a way they wouldn't if everyone was following along in the same book.
I think the UK seems to have been left as the poor relation if other english speaking countries had a more generous approach. There has been an issue of cliques and elders families lauding it over others in some congregations and this will just make it worse. If they had waited until the DA then there would have been ample copies for everyone.
I was never that fussed about having a copy of the publication on the day of release but I know that for many it is a highlight, they will happily queue for a book that they will be giving out the next day without a fuss. It is the elderly sisters with no special status who will feel the disappointment the most.
That's interesting because here in the US, a different letter was read and for our circuit the new Bibles will be available in a few weeks. I missed a little bit of the letter, but it stated something about Japan assisting in production to make these available to the States within the next few weeks. Weird how the UK situation with the AM and new Bible has and is being treated differently than the US. Guess we'll just have to trust the slave.
We were told that there were just enough Bibles for ONLY regular publishers who COULD READ to have a copy.
Of course the shearers of sheep and their ministerial grunts were able to obtain copies for their pre-school brats who slept through the enitire program!
The times I show up at a KH I think I will start carrying a copy of the New American Revised version in tan paperback.
Bitch bitch bitch. That's all dubs seem to do. So you didn't get invited to the annual sycophant club meeting. And you didn't get a shiny, er, i mean, dull (as in gray) new bible. big whoop. Just download the new JW app to your iPad and take that to the hall. That way you can keep up with Jah's chariot just fine. Don't have an iPad, iPhone, Android, or host of other modern devices that everyone in developed countries, and under the age of 60 has? Oh well, you'll just have to manage with your 1984 NWT bible until January. Now stop your whining and go place some magazines...
The elders here bared an aged, infirm sister from attending because she is no longer able to 'go out in service." She's been a faithful witness since 1952. Explain to me why loving kindnes should take second place to a public ministry that in now way resembles that of the first century.
SFPW.. Yes it is unusual. Someone I know in the UK said that some in their congregation were confused or at least distracted by the Bible reading, as the Ephesians wording is now entirely different in several verses. Why have many in the UK been made to feel left out, and distracted from the spiritual food by differing Scriptures, when they could have held off from using the new ones for a while to allow everyone to be reading the same Bible unitedly?
.. I won't expect a reply, you apologists often don't have the courtesy to do so.
