The flds built massive buildings in short periods of time with thousands of volunteers too. Does that mean Jehovah blessed Warren Jeffs' big temple in Texas?

building a dike to protect your own home when facing a calamity ... a dike that only takes up a few days or at most a few weeks of their time (how many dikes have you built or supervised, please?) is also a case of comparing apples with peaches. Try to get them working for years when there is no benefit in it for themselves (everlasting life, anyone?),.. no calamity that forces them (ahem, the big A?). It wont work,... but the spirit of Jehovah does just that, and he does it all around the world (did you mean the Universe?).

Do you have Jehovah's spirit within you ?, if you do come work at are construction sites so we don't have to pay people for their labor.
We are just going to turn around and sell the property for a huge mark up $$$, which will a blessing from Jehovah when that occurs.

Even Nehemiah had to deal with opposers and ridiculers in his day. The same is now happening with Jehovah's organization. Poke fun and badmouth if you want, but all of you are missing out on an oppurtunity to contribute something in harmony with God's will.

Every religious group like this has people that volunteer their time and energy for free.
It means nothing other than that the organization has been successful in convincing those particular people that it's a worthwhile endeavor ... for them.
If they really believe it's "evidence of gods blessing" then he must also be blessing the Mormons and other groups too, more in fact because their buildings are always bigger and better and don't look like shoe-boxes with no windows.

In the mid 70s, in response to the 'step over into Macedonia' articles, my family moved to Salt Lake City to help with the 'work.'
As JWs, we didn't even whisper about volunteer building or brotherly love and charity because Mormons shame JWs on both accounts. As an aside, I can only imagine how awkward it was for Utah JWs when the WTBTS recently adopted the Mormon "family home evening" concept.
i do not care if someone agrees or not agree on Jehovah's spirit being involved... i just point out why Jehovah's Witnesses think it is involved.
Well, that's the point, right? Every religion thinks it has evidence of God's favor. Just because they think so does not make it so.
And clearly you do care because you, instead of spending your time in the preaching work or volunteer building work, have chosen to spend your time here, on this DB, defending it as evidence.
