For some reason, the extended life of this long goodbye makes me happy. I hope Slimboy finds happiness in his life. I have found a bit of happiness reading this thread. Perhaps it may extend into perpetuity. That would make me even happier.

Sorry to keep this going but SBF, if you are reading these comments, I want to wish you the best. I still attend and while I hate it, I've developed the ability to cope somehow. We all have choices some of which are very difficult. It really boils down to what is going to cause the least amount of pain.
I always enjoyed SBFs contributions and he'll be missed. I think he brought a bit of balance to the board that was needed.
Maximus, HillaryStep, AlanF, Onacruse, Alleymom, Narkissos, Leolaia ... this board has had its fair share of original thinkers and scholars who have the gift of motivating others to think too. I miss them all but will especially miss SBF, thinker and scholar and friend, who will continue to pursue the truth wherever he finds it. Morituri te salutant.
I think i might go back. Some say they miss me. I was always good at murmuring and someone needs to do it.
I re-read the first post and its to funny to be true, hes pulling our leg.
I keep checking in on this thread waiting for Slim to come out and finally tell us it was a joke...
Poor guy. I hope you find the happiness you are seeking. If it doesn't work out with the JWs, we will still always be here with open arms and open hearts.

Amazing the level of indoctrination some have. Notice there are no specifics of *what* is actually disagreed with, just name calling. We are all 'satan-like people' because ... well, because the WTS told them that we are so that must be it. Someone they have never met and never will meet tells them how to act and think about other people that they have never met and never will meet ... and they follow it. How crazy stupid. Incredible how weak someone's faith must be that they cannot stand to have it even questioned and think people could subvert the truth. And that's the thing - no one does. We don't need to make stories up about the WTS ... we can destroy the WTS just be repeating their own words and letting them talk. I don't think they meant me though, probably you lot. Yeah, you SATAN'S KIDS types should be ashamed of yourself!! ;-) Also, I literally 40 minutes ago had a shower ... normally my stench takes much longer to develop, hours at least. |

What happened over 15 days to change Slimboy from saying "Resistance is Futile" to "Good Bye and Later Friends!" I hope he was not kidnapped by the Greek Brothers and their window-less van with a tiny cardboard peep-hole, is that possible?
Read ISOCF for that JW fund trivia of Greek Branch Watchtower spying on their own members worse than Scientology did in the 1980s, a very bad example of hurting Witnesses with fear, meanwhile the Watchtower is crying to the Greek Courts about the poor treatment the Greek Othrodox Church is giving them.

Alan F and I were the best of friends. We met and his daughter played a Rachmaninoff Prelude for me. We probably spent 200 hours on the telephone talking about dub stuff. He introduced me to a lady he knew as a child. Her name is Barbara Anderson. We call her "Barb."
"Onacruise" was introduced to me by Alan F. in around 2001. I called him and basically, he was a psycho who had just lost his religion. He was in so much pain I didn't even have the skills to deal with it, but I hung in there for him. We soon became fast friends and he turned out to be one of the most intelligent people I have ever met.
Hillary Step and I have corresponded. I know who he is, and he might be surprised to know that, but I'm not saying to anyone how I know that!
I respect Narkissos and his work, but I have no personal experience with him. Same with Leolaia, although we are forever joined at the hip with my Berta and Bonnie thread. She always gets all the kudus for merely verifying as fact what I wrote in the first place! I still love her and her work, though.
