@bats: That's why creationists make no sense. They selectively discard evolution over a long time because it inconveniences their world view of creation. However they gladly make use of short-term evolution when it conveniences them to support the same view of creation however creationists themselves use the argument of fast evolution against evolution (you don't see monkeys turning into humans today) however the biblical creation and the flood story REQUIRES a very fast form of evolution, the one they themselves gladly point at as making no sense and the scientists agree THAT does not happen.
