Col 1:16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him
again SFPW-- look up your kingdom interlinear on the jw app...youll notice the word in parenthesis or brAckets is not "other" like the older NWT but rather the word "things". Now there is a word for "other" inGreek because it is used in other greek scriptures....that word is not found in any manuscript, nor is there any evidence to ADD to the Bible in this scripture, thereby changing the meaning of this scripture. This scripture has no doubt been reviewed many times and has not been changed. In fact the error has gone so far as to remove brackets around the word (which shows bible readers this addition was done by men)which now gives the impression that this was not only in the original text but is, by extension, from God. Think SFPW! Research from all angles notjust the GB's. Truth is truth whether you want it to be or not--and it will stand up to scrutiny if it is in fact truth.

Stand for pur worship, good grief, all you have to do is read your own KIT and you can see exactly how the wt has changed the Bible.

One big change the WTBTS has made to the Bible is in Hebrews 1: 8, 9:
Jehovah speaking to Jesus according to the INSPIRED apostle. (actually a word for word quote from Ps 44: 7, 8)
"God is your throne to time indefinite, etc(NWT)
Yet the Psalm acually says "Your throne OH God, etc." ONLY the NWT changes these words, and has to change the Psalm Paul is quoting to "support" a quite deliberate mis translation.

Baseless assertions. How do Jehovah's Witnesses preach a gospel different than the apostles?
The OP of THIS THREAD adeptly spells it out for you. Enjoy.

SFPW- Is the NWT in Greek? Not last time I looked at it, is there a new Greek edition? If JW's had been blessed with the ability to read it in the original form as some of us are, then there would have be no need to change the original text.

I loved the facial expressions on a couple of witnesses when they asked ME questions about traditional Christianity and I responded "they didn't put my picture in your Bible?... that's strange, it should be next to James 3:1."
After they looked it up and we had our laugh, I got serious and asked if everyone in their denomination had to "teach" from door to door.
I listened as they danced uncomfortably through the semantics.

You are not standing for pure worship - but false.
The gospel Jehovah's Witnesses preach is man-made and therefore anti-christ.
Since when was 607 necessary to believe as a requirement for Christian baptism?

Once you answer this question properly SFPW, you will have the answer to your question above:
"Why is the Good News according to Paul not in your heart and not on your lips?"
Spot on Crazyguy.

<< How do Jehovah's Witnesses preach a gospel different than the apostles? How have Jehovah's Witnesses come as Messiahs? More than anything else, what I want to know is how and where have Jehovah's Witnesses changed the Bible? >>
The gospel Paul preached was salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The gospel the WTS preaches is a 1914 invisible presence and salvation through 1000 years plus of obedience to the "faithful and discreet slave" organization.
The Bible teaches that Jesus is our mediator. The WTS teaches that the 144,000, not Jesus, are the mediator for the great crowd. The Bible teaches that we need to come to Christ for salvation (John 5:39-40). The WT teaches that we need to come to an organization for salvation.
The WT has changed the Bible in hundreds of places. Entire books have been written on the subject, which JWs are forbidden to read. As someone said above, just read the interlinear part of the KIT and contrast it to the English rendering throughout the New Testament. They have added the name Jehovah 237 times into the NT. NO Greek manuscript contains the tetragrammaton. They have altered John 1:1, while following their "no definite article" = indefinite rule only 6% of the time in the NT. They have changed Romans 6:7 from saying that he who has died has been freed from sin to saying that he who has died has been acquitted from his sin.
Those are just a few examples.
