On my way into work, I saw a "litterature waggon" strapped to a lamp post outside the railway station.

THREE (I kid you not) THREE "pious sneers" were standing, almost thirty feet away, gossiping laughing.

I watched for about five minutes, not one person looked at the stuff (it had "BIBLE" on it so warned passersby CULT.)

They never once went near the display to draw attention to it. In fact, only an ex dubbie would have known they were connected with it.

By the end of the morning, they will have put in 3 x number of hours standing chatting and drinking coffee to keep warm. Dont trust any increase in hours claimed in next years service report. I have even seen piousneers sitting in the subway checkiing their watch, to see if it is time to go home yet.

But I ask you THREE claiming time for just standing about? They were all young fools though.

My God why don't these delusional fools just lie about the time they turn into the Watchtower corporation.

I think you must have never been the secretary for your congregation - if you had been, you'd know the answer.

    They DO!

I saw the first one in my town....just wooden Indians with a new cart. Still not approaching or talking to anyone.

This explains why the WT claims that EVERY inhabitant of this planet gets

10 MINUTES of witnessing/preaching the GN of the 1914 kingdom allocated per YEAR.

BSW. we were not smaller in these days, the (foreign) magazines were double size.

This is all a far cry from my youth. I used to do the 100 hours a month actual knocking, my pioneer mentors used to deduct time for a coffee stop or similar.

Most of us could make a fair defense of our beliefs, as a mid-teen I went toe to toe with Cof E Vicars, R.C Priests, and Born-again Evangelicals etc many times.

What a pathetic bunch of nonentities the modern Piousneeers seem to be.

I really think the WT does not care about recruitment any more, they simply wish to keep the ones they have entrapped, and keep them busy and thinking they are actually doing something.

Witnessing ? They don't know what it means.

Well spotted, and so true. Pious is only the half of it. They prance around with their NNWT thinking they are chosen. Very funny OP thanks LOL-Kate xx

A letter was read out tonight, informing us of the change to the Pioneer School ; 6 days of "special training" now, instead of 2 weeks.

Why "special training"? Aren't we all 'brothers'? Do some preach a different message? The little elite groups created by the Org are just further evidence of a hierarchical organization that is so far removed from everything Jesus warned his apostles not to do regarding lording it over one another.

My favourite sect is "T he Worldwide Order of Special Full-Time Servants of Jehovah’s Witnesses".

They are only 'Special' and only 'Full-Time' until the Branch Office they work at full-time becomes worth more in terms of $$$$$$$ than as a spiritual asset. Are there any redundant Bethelites here who would like to share their experience of the closure of their Branch in recent years?

As Phizzy said, my "piousneering" days were made up of 100 hours a month, then 90 deducting anything and everything that wasn't related to actual hours. did this for close to 20 years.

Now its a joke, 7 people pile inside a van and then drive around for 8 hours. And these carts and stands are ridiculous. The interesting thing is the letter that was read a couple of weeks ago-- wanting only pioneers to mann these carts. It used to be that street work was done mainly by elderly jw who werent' able to do much. Now they don't want the old, they want the only pioneers.
