Special training, like the extra 30 minutes of the CO's pioneer meeting?! LOL!!! It's like reading the "Illuminators" book, the same crap, different day.

Does anyone on JWN know if they are using these pioneer literature carts or tables on streets or public places in Portland, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington? I've been downtown in both cities in recent months but have not seen any like the ones shown online. If you know any place in the Pacific Northwest (USA) where this is happening please PM me. I'd love to get a video of this with actual interviews with them to see what they have to say while just sitting there watching people grab literature.

While it's still fresh in my mind...

Does anyone know where the JWs buy these literature stands? Do they get them from the WT or private vendors. I'd love to get one of these things and then go set up next to some JWs with a table or stand and then set mine up and load it with a bunch of handouts that expose Watchtower "truths" and history. Anyone in the Pacific Northwest want to join me in this - or at least hold a video camera?

I see these type of preaching in California all the time.

You got 4-5 Latino brothers, neatly dressed in a suit, Latinos always wear a jacket by the way even when it's 100deg.standing outside in a small shopping center just having fun.

They don't display any magazines, people come out of store and are not approched....just a nice social gathering and counting time.

The witnesses in the 60`s - 80`s truly beleived in the closeness of the end and they demonstrated it in their fervour.

the witnesses today obviously know that its not going to happen anytime soon , so their is no emergency.

I saw a table set up at a kingdom hall parking lot, actually blocking the driveway and right on the edge of the sidewalk on Pacific ave here in Long Beach, CA. There was a group of about 5 of them standing around goofing off. Then later on my way home I passed some sisters and Iasked them in spanish if they were out preaching. They said resoundingly, "no." ?

Nice waste of their time. I can remember the dingbat that dragged me into the cancer was a regular pious-sneer, and the "sneer" part was a major part of that thing. That thing wanted me to follow in its footsteps. I remember my first day in field circus, and that thing wanted me to go out at 9 AM the next morning. Bearing in mind that this scumbag knew I had to work evenings, and usually didn't get out of work until around 1 AM, or sometimes later. It's like, once you do field circus once, you never do anything else again.

And that thing wasn't going to take any of the usual games pious-sneers play, either. I would be out in field circus to knock on doors, not to stand around and chat or to go take 45 minute breaks. And, going out meant actually talking to householders, no matter what. And no fake-ringing. That thing had to pound on the beam on the door hard enough to register a major earthquake as far away as Christchurch--New Zealand! I was instructed to do the same, and not trust the doorbells to work.

Either way, if you are out in field circus, you can't be doing what you want. No soul meditation. No listening to real music, much of which ties into energies from your past that have little or nothing to do with the theme of the song itself. No partaking of hobbies. No going online. No nothing. And, if they waste your time, it matters not to them whether you actually get anyone else into the cancer.
