Mary was 852 when she gave Birth to Jesus..
She fired him out like a rocket..
Jesus flew across the room, bounced of the barn wall and..
Landed in a cradle Mary had previously purchased at Ikea..
Joseph took one look at Jesus and said:

Jewish young women are not like girls today; they were trained to take care of a household, cooking, shopping, sewing, taking care of domestic animals, laundry, cleaning, household finances, working alongside their mothers or other women in the household. By the age of 12 or 13 they would have been ready to handle their own household. 12 or 13 young girls (that we come in contact with) today rarely have these responsibilities let alone skills.

LoisLane looking for Superman
God ( ?) created Adam and Eve as adults. (Does that mean Eve was created as a 12, 13 or 14 year old?)
God ( ?) created women to give birth. Doctor's today say it is unhealthy for teenage girls to give birth.
Their bodies are still growing.
Since God obviously knows this, why would he have his Holy Spirit ( ?) impregnant a young, growing,
teenage girl to carry such an important personage as his son ( ?)?

Lois- there is some creepy stuff from the Catholics on God impregnating the virgin Mary.

Setting aside my desire to join the mockery for the moment....
Wouldn't the undoubtedly poor nutrition of the time & location, for the poorest of the poor in the backwater known as Judea, have had the tendency to push the first age at which a girl could even conceive up to like 15, 16, 17?
The onset of menstruation at age 11 or 12 is, IIRC, a fairly modern development due to increased food yields in the 19th & 20th centuries?
Or maybe I'm just hallucinating again.

I would guess in her early 20's after she graduated from College.

The same article said that men were to marry by 18 or be considered odd. Both of them would have moved in with his parents, and lived in their household not on their own.

Some of you are making assumptions about God based on other people's guesses.
Sir82 is correct. The average right now is 13 for menstruation, and getting younger. Some start earlier, and some later.
In any case, Mary would have been married to Joseph and had a child with him in that same time, otherwise.
