4 “You will not certainly die,the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Satan is a liar.......humans have come to know evil by the way that we have chosen to live our lives. GOD knew this would take place.......not of GOD's choosing, but of those that He created.

Once you can prove adam and eve existed, we can have a conversation. Otherwise, its like debating which type of cheese Mickey mouse prefers. If your character is imaginary it doesn't really matter now does it?
god knew this would take place so it is our fault. so if dodge sells me a defective auto, its my fault because i should have known better than to buy a CHRISTler? get effin lucid.
Lostgeneration is truly lost.......he cannot formulate in his mind the origin of humandkind. All things have a beginning and it is obvious that generations continue through reproduction. We have multiplyed and are filling the earth as we speak. It had to begin with a male and female....think about it.

S--TAURUS, (S--the bull) it smells, because the story is fishy.
If the fruit is symbolic, so is the trees, the snake, the rib, A& E, the vegetarians, the swords twirling, the story* to deal with it.
it is symbolic, spun out of thin air.
hot air. It is
from the pre-scientific era.
not from the CREATOR who after all should be the greatest well of truth that ever is, and therefore
CAN NOT BE THE AUTHOR OF THE TALKING SNAKE STORY,
* "--came to buy back what was lost--". what was lost was credibility. WAS period.
fakesmile, we choose how we live out lives, GOD does not choose it for us. We can be bad (evil) or good (righteousl). Which way do you choose to live your life?

prologos, you are finally thinking......GOD uses His creation in symbolism to teach, i.e. fruitage of the spirit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, as well as a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. Jesus is the root of Jesse, as in the root of a tree? The family tree? Get it?

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
The fruit of the tree was pleasing to the eye (the naked body) and also desirable (desires of the flesh). You gain wisdom from the deceptive powers of immorality. When Adam and Eve engaged in the desires of the flesh, they became ashamed and exposed (naked). Therefore they covered over their shame with clothing.

Stauros:
Was it real fruit they ate or does the fruit represent something else?
That's a bit like asking if Cinderella's fairy godmother really turned a pumpkin into a carriage.
