Unstop - Could you answer my question please.

JWs have no idea what you mean by that phrase. Speaking as a former christian many christians don't either, it's just a popular piece of jargon.

In your own words what do you mean exactly when you say that a christian must be "born again"?

I asked this question to an elder over breakfast and all he could do is deflect how others have said they are born again and so they can shoot someone and they will still be forgiven.

I am a born again Christian but I don't go shoot people.

My jw cannot even understand the question. Show him scriptures pointing out that one must be born again and he directs me to why the egg prices in China are different...........

The way I understood it, being born again meant professing in prayer that you are a sinner and that you believe Christ died for you and you are inviting Him now to be your Lord and Savior. After that, you are considered born again.

Yes but what does that mean exactly?

That's a very good question Cofty and I cannot honestly say that I know. I know when I did it it was a feeling, but feelings can be deceiving. That's how Mormons gauge who is willing to accept their beliefs, based on feelings.

Did Tammy post yet? No, not yet.

Well, maybe this will help. Being born again means being born into the family of God, becoming one of the sons and daughters of God.
