maybe it's to do with sinning against the holy spirit. as maybe we believed the organization was doing the preaching of the kingdom foretold in matt. 24:14 and it was led by God's holy spirit in doing this. to talk against those taking the lead was going against the holy spirit. maybe. and so seems worse than talking against God.

Yes, that's it Ucantnome. Just ironic. Because flip it around. Most people feel fine criticizing the president, but never would hate on the country. In this case the GB are like president and just represent the country/god. But, they hold the power even above god.

Comatose I was so well conditioned that I am still afraid to be disrespectful to the GB. To speak out against god is one thing, but to do so against the GB is even worse.
Very wise.
The Governing Body actually exists and has the power to cut off your privileges.
