Your policy of engaging in lengthy rebuttals leading to epic threads, could not be more counter-productive.

We have been through it all many times before you discovered JWN. Tammy thrives on opportunites to engage in mind-numbingly long and pedantic debates about nothing. She needs you and you oblige in abundance.

Tammy does NOT hear voices. Based on previous conversations, and similar types I met as a christian, she simply interprets her inner conversations as being of divine origin. It is a simple self-delusion and not a sign of mental illness. She is a follower of a guru who by comparison makes Tammy sound as rational as Spock. At their own forum they have a crowd of followers who applaud and feed their ego whenever they post about the latest word from the almighty, but after a while that is not enough. This is why Tammy is back with a vengence trying to recruit new followers via PMs.

Once signed up to the forum all the madness is confined to the members area, and new acolytes are sworn to secrecy and expelled for dissent. They are expected to believe things that would make the good citizens of Salt Lake city blush with embarrassment. Did you know that somebody who has been cremated cannot be resurected because the spirit resides in the bones - don't worry as long as god can locate their baby teeth all will be well? I am 100% serious.

My advice is a very brief reply to any attempt to preach this voice-hearing cult. State simply that these claims are foolish, manipultive and not appropriate in a discussion forum and then move on.

I don't need to supply solutions. You cannot refute that she hears voices. It no longer matters. I am not responsiblel for stopping Tammy or anyone else. Simon evidently decline their demand for a section where no one else can respond. Since no other group has such threads, it seems to be a fair solution to me.

I will never go back to the Shelby scenario. All the drama. If people here want to believe that some deity is in very personal communion with them, others can decide whether it is true. My resolution is not to get triggered. Basically, I don't need such people or thoughts in my life. Arguing with her feeds their persecutional complex which makes them feel worthy. Let them pay for space for their views on their own forum. I suggest they are here for a purpose. They can't post much content without an audience. No matter what you say the response is "Christ told me." Let Christ tell them. They are so few on this forum. It is not believers but a small number of believers. When they are termed believers it is an insult to all who believe or are searching on this forum. Some here hear voices. Most members who are believers do not.
