Have you noticed there are certain movies you just never get tired of watching? What's does your list include? Here are some of mine (in no particular order as to favorites):

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (ALWAYS makes me laugh)
    Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Ditto)
    The Fugitive
    Sleepless in Seattle
    Trading Places
    Groundhog Day
    The Net
    When Harry Met Sally
Father of the Bride (Steve Martin version)
    The Big Chill
    American Dreamer

    Ditto to:
Ferris Bueller, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Groundhog Day
BIG no to any of the ones with Meg Ryan in
    And add:
    12 Monkeys
Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid
    Star Wars
    A Few Good Men
    Laurel & Hardy Films
    The Mask (Hmmnn...Cameron )
My Fair Lady (I know all the words you know...)
    and, erm...
The Sound of Music ? (oh the shame)

Yeah - just watched part of My Fair Lady today actually. I get a real bang out of the "Why Can't a Woman Be More Like a Man" routine. LOL And it struck me that in a remake, Kelsey Grammer (Frazier Crane - Do you even have Frazier in England?) would make a PERFECT Henry Higgins.

Oh yes! How could I have forgotten To Kill a Mockingbird! I agree wholeheartedly on that one, 7. ANd, Yes, The Prince of Tides. What a story. But, I have to say I found the book to be much better than the movie. We need a threat on best books here also. (The Bible doesn't count; goes without saying ...)

Yes..."Why Can't a Woman Be More Like a Man?" - the best bit.
We do get Frasier over here but I don't watch it very often - the guy would make a good Prof. Higgins though.

    Oh yeah!

Here are a few of my favourites:

    1. Reckless: Aidan Quinn & Darryl Hannah (LOVE THIS MOVIE TO PIECES)1984

    2. Female Troubles: (John Waters - 1974) Divine, Mink Stole, Edith Massey

    3. Baraka: 1992 (simply breathtaking, and without a script or actors, just planet Earth and its inhabitants)

    4. Bona: (Philippines - not sure of the year) But what a great Filipino movie. It is subtitled, and was directed by the late infamous Lina Broca. Brilliant! Very moving and tough as nails. If you are an empowered woman, you may want to check it out. The ending is perfect.

    5. Goin' Down The Road: (Canada 1970) A story about two transplanted Nova Scotians in the big city (Toronto) and the predicaments they get themselves into. It's a damn near accurate portrayal of how some transplanted Maritimers adapted to big city life: success/failure.

Well there's my contribution. I'm going to relook at some of what many of you posted, perhaps there may be a few additions to my 'most watched' list.
