I Found Out Why I Can't Find My Keys But My Wife Usually Can!

I tried to neaten up the garage by putting everything in in plastic bins. I labeled them, garden things, car things, etc. When we moved I realized we had seven containers of tree fertilizer (we had four trees). Apparently, being a man, he never, ever looked in the container. He needed to fertilize the tree, he just bought more. Since it was in the container, it just didn't exist for him. It might just as well been in China. When we got married, I found six containers of cloves. Six! Every Thanksgiving he made a pie, and every Thanksgiving he bought cloves. The other were in the back of the cupboard, they had ceased to exist also.

Don't get me started on Refridgerator blindness.

Men are the hunter gatherers. They would rather out and bring in a new one than use one they already got;) Can't do that so easily w keys.

Yup, it's what makes life interesting, the yin and yang. Fortunately we have a happy marriage, so we can laugh at our differences. I know I do crazy things sometimes as well.

I've got a horrible case of refrigerator blindness and I'm the first one to admit it. My wife has a bad case of never put anything in the same place twice. We're quite a pair. -LOL

Does this mean I'm a woman because I 'multitask' all day & every day?

What a load of crock it is to suggest men can only think about one subject or deal with only one task at a time.

Can you imagine the uproar if it was even intimated that this was the case for women?

Actually, I read recently that the idea that anyone can multitask is not correct, the brain really does best when it has one thing to do. Anyway, I don't think anyone said this has anything to do with multitasking. There are differences in the brain between men and women, and I don't think it's man bashing to say there are differences in behavior as well.

As I said, I do crazy things, just different crazy things. It has been my observation that, in general, men are more direct and goal oriented. That is not good or bad, it's just what it is.

You're right, Lisa. The anatomical differences (Grey matter vs. White matter) are real. It's got zero to do with intelligence because men and women are as dead even when it comes to intelligence as it's statistically possible to be.

It's interesting to me (As an amateur observer of people and social phenomenon) to see how feminism has responded to this. Those that bought into the nurture over nature mantra of prior decades deny that these differences exist, while more progressive thinkers within the movement see this as an opportunity to explain what's really wrong with men.
