I know what you are going through and hope things get better. It is easy to say "things get better" but hard to believe when you are in the middle of it all but they really do. We have never been happier since we left and though some of our family dont talk to us, others do, others are coming round and we have made contact with more of our family that we had never really had much to do with because they weren't in the 'troof'.
Hang in there - we feel for you.

Many, many thanks for your kind thoughts. We've been overwhelmed by the seeming flood of messages of support we've received by e-mail, phone and the board. Many of the cards we've receieved have been from strangers, people who have heard of this and have been touched.
It is indeed a very hard time and Mrs Ozzie cries herself to sleep at night, but is comforted that she is standing true to her beliefs.
Nonetheless it's like grieving for the loss of all your family in an accident, yet in this case, they're all still alive. The hurt that words have caused is enormous. A spokeman elder was sent to visit us from Bethel. His words were mocking and derogatory. He called Mrs Ozzie a liar to her face and ridiculed a personal letter that she wrote to her children. All in her own home! Interestingly, when I asked him, he admitted he didn't believe all that is written in The Watchtower. I knew he didn't. In fact I know that many elders have doubts or don't believe many of the interpretations given in the publications. Basically some elders have shown sufficient cause never to want to be with them again!

Folks, so sorry to hear that the watchtower monster has once again reared its ugly head and showed its fangs.
When they discern that someone is not marching to their drum they will invade your lives and do everything in their power to make you miserable.
Don't let the uncouth toadies get you down. Keep your heads up, rise above it and show them what tough stuff you two are made of!
