"Do you swear to put the organization ahead of all else including your personal and professional life, including showing mercy to others, including any agents of law enforcement at any levels?
Do you promise to protect your fellow elder from trouble wherever it won't interfere with your first promise to put the organization ahead of all else, including overlooking any infractions of the rules they have kept secret for at least 'a few' years, including automatically berating members for gossipping if they try to say anything about another elder?
As an elder, do you promise not to brag about how you get to take care of other business during meetings and assemblies instead of sitting through those boring sessions with the rest of the members?"There's quite a bit more, but you get the idea.
....and you do realize I am joking. Don't ya?

Now I understand how the elders are appointed by holy spirity.
If someone has sexualy abused a child, the holy spirit will make them say 'yes' when that question is asked?

At my JC trial for apostasy the elder named Dennis said:
"We’ve taken an oath to uphold principles such as this"
But he may not have been speaking of a literal oath of course. (Taken from the transcript, line 891)
