Belief in demons belongs to the infancy of human culture.
However strange an ocurrence, supernatural explanations are by definition the least likely to be true.
We cannot trust our senses or memories. If there were demons and angels in this modern world, festooned with cameras, we would have more recorded incidents than we have YouTube videos of cute cats.
When it is frightening our children, its time to think again about superstitions.

Because Nic, I believe the Bible. The dead are dead...and we won't be hearing from the dead till they are brought to life via resurrection. And yes, I believe demons (familiar spirits) can masquerade as dead loved ones for nefarious purposes. My grandmother, in her pre-Christian era would attest to that.

Ucant - yes I believed it 100% and then I became an evangelical and adopted a different set of superstitions.
Eventually I learned the value of an evidence-based way of understanding the world.
