Who the Father is, no one knows but the Son, and he to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.—Luke 10:22.
Most people, whatever their beliefs, have pondered over questions related to God’s existence. However, when they failed to reach a satisfying conclusion, many eventually gave up on their search for God. Indeed, Satan has “blinded the minds of the unbelievers.” (2 Cor. 4:4) Little wonder that the majority of mankind are left in ignorance and confusion as to the truth about the Father, the Creator of the universe! (Isa. 45:18) Yet, it is vital that people learn the truth about God. Why? Because only those who call “on the name of Jehovah” will be saved. (Rom. 10:13) To call on God’s name involves becoming acquainted with Jehovah as a Person. Jesus Christ disclosed to his disciples this vital knowledge. He revealed the Father to them. w12 4/15 1:2, 3
The name Jehovah in the NWT is replacing the word "Lord" in the Greek text. The word “Lord” in Romans 10:13 does NOT refer to Jehovah but rather to Jesus. By inserting God’s name into Romans 10:13 the NWT translators have twisted it into a corruption. Please read the context below from the NWT, the highlighted word “Lord”, in the context, refers to Christ not God and the needed “faith” is also in Jesus and his resurrection. So, when the NWT translators inserted the name Jehovah in place of “Lord” in Romans 10:13 they made Paul say something he did not intend. They manipulated a scripture which was in fact referring to Jesus not his Father. The founder of the original Watchtower Society, Charles Taze Russell, taught the truth about the Trinity, Hellfire, Immortality of the Soul, the heavenly hope and an earthly destination, the end of the system of things etc, WITHOUT resorting to inserting into the Greek Scriptures something Jehovah himself saw fit to leave out. By inserting Jehovah’s name where God himself did not direct, the NWT translators have pushed ahead of God and have corrupted his Word!
Read carefully what Romans 10:9-15 is actually saying, note in the context the words "Lord" and "him" refer to Christ not Jehovah, and come to your own conclusions.
(Romans 10:9-15) “For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation. 11 For the Scripture says: “None that rests his faith on him will be disappointed.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah ["Lord" in the Greek] will be saved.” 14 However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? 15 How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!” NWT
Romans 10:9-15 as it is actually written without the Tetragrammaton:
“For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.
13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? 15 How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”
Does it appear to you that Paul was referring to Jehovah in those scriptures above or Jesus Christ? Remember it is to Jehovah and his Son we are loyal to not men. Or are we to allow the Fear of Men to rule over us in place of God?
