Having been out of the org. for a very long time, I have a very different perspective. I don't get in a lather over anything that's invisible. I also, don't get in a frenzy over a day of destruction. All this stuff has no bearing on my life. I try to be a good person as best I know how because goodness is its own immediate reward. I don't need the threat of a vengeful God to prod me, and I don't need the fear of an evil Satan it keep me watchful. Since I can't change anything that's invisible, I don't worry about it. To me that is a collosal waste of time and energy.
Life is so much more peaceful for me now that it used to be.
I'm glad you have peace as of present but please don't fall into the category of the ostrich.
Sooner or later there will be a world event of some sort to disturb your peace which could possibly affect you. It is beyong your control and the person responsible is the invisible ruler of this system of things who wants you to believe just as you do.
There are things about this world that you aren't ready to hear. You should keep your OWN guard up as well.
Also, please do not preach to people about the value of free will, when you as a JW do not have one of your own (unless you wish to be destroyed, of course).
I can understand what your saying, however Jehovah God is the final judge in all matters.
As far as hearing some things from this world of which you think I'm not ready for , try me.
I could tell you some things about this system of things and it's wickedness that would send you curling up in a corner and sorry that you ever brought up the subject.
You have to realize that if your not ready for truth at a particular time it could destroy you mentally and physically.
I mean this as of no disrespect for you. I only wish you the best in what ever you do as long as it is done along the lines of love.

Nah. Reverse psychology doesn't work on me. Sorry.

You could, but it wouldn't be anything that I haven't heard before. Also, you can only curl up in a corner if you are afraid of the subject.

Good point. As always with you JWs, you should follow your OWN advice. Something you folks don't always do. tsk tsk.

I love you too, as a fellow human. That is why I retracted my previous post, as it was out of malice toward your ignorance, and not of love for you.
Many others WAY more faithful than me have died waiting for Armageddon. Many others are living in Armageddon (having hell on earth) now. I, for one, refuse to raise my child to live in mortal fear of a loving God who will extract his vengeance on *WICKED ONES* by your own admission. You don't get to decide who is wicked, Jehovah does. Check your bible, it says he will 'bring to ruin those ruining the earth.' In what way is anyone who participates in this forum ruining the earth? If you need to be reminded that Dad's coming home and you'll get a spanking if you misbehave, so be it. Myself, I've grown beyond that spiritual plateau. I'm looking forward to having an opportunity to have all of my deeds microscoped, and being blessed for it.
How old are you? I would guess 30 plus or minus 5 years. Now, you are part of a religion that's has been here for 120 years, so look at in its historical context. You are a young puppy all wound up and excited. We've done that, bin there. We are not all excited any more. Just get some love in your heart and forget about destruction.
