Many Witness men I have met are gentle and kind. My son is a Schizophrenic and he is generally gentle and kind unless he feels threatened.

This ex of yours is a Witness, a Schizophrenic, and cruel. I think his accusations and his bizarre behavior is a mad mix of all three factors. I was part of a divorce support group for many years in my church, and I'm a former battered wife. The random violence, the accusations and hatred, are all familiar to me. I have met the spouses of men like you describe, who use the bible as a club to force submission.

Some people are just plain mean. My insight in to my ex is that in a way I was his alter-ego. As I was beaten down, he hated himself more and by extension, me. I was evidence of his failure and his meanness.

In your case, I think your ex used the religion and the bible as a way to enforce control over you. Twisted.

He also full heartidly claims that he is the son of God.

    Schizophrenia

He believed that all women are "sluts"

The Watchtower Society (WTS) subtly offers examples where men are led astray by women.

all women are only %75 complete,

According to the WTS, women are the "weaker vessel". Your ex used this as an excuse for his prejudice.
all women are in league with the devil Schizophrenia
women should be submissive etc. Pure WTS

If I didn't memorize scriptures from the bible after reading them then I was in trouble. I wasn't allowed to speak or do anything without permission etc.

    Classic abusive behavior.

He has told me that he is a minister sometimes at one of the local Kingdom Halls.

I call BS. He likely had a speaking part here and there, which is expected of every Witness.
