I have been struggling lately too. It seems like one disaster after another. Sometimes life really kicks you in the teeth.

My life is always rollocoaster, have good months and bad months. I trying to be in the control of the situation, and prepared for the worst and expect the best. I feel the same way that people do not care much about anything and anybody. I have certainly bad winter with different issues like job uncertainity through watching a lot of layoffs, crashed investment in January, and shallow relationships with friends. I live opposite site of the globe than my family, who are JW and will not really help me. As an immigrant in foreigner country, I am always outsider, have an accent and people constantly judge me for it.

I am so ready for spring that I can spent on my garden, plant shrubs and flowers, work out, beat games on Xbox or PS, make every day count. Winters are always depressing. At least I have enjoyable job and good workplace, so it is not source of my stress.

Yeah sometimes life just seems to go from one sucky thing to another. We are all entitled to our own little pity party from time to time I reckon, as long as we don't get too bogged down by our own misfortunes.

DoC, this reminds me of the Sick note by the Dubliners. Hopefully it will give all of you a good laugh...

    Yes!

After major surgery (to attenuate a knee problem) and 5 days in hospital, I was discharged on a Sunday afternoon - with strict advice to NOT place more than 20 kilos of weight on the affected knee... hence, 2 crutches and no extended standing.

On the morning of my 3rd day at home, one crutch slips on the smooth kitchen floor, I plant my foot, HARD, (yes, the foot on that leg) to avoid a fall - but momentum wins the point... with a twist: I tear a ligament (LCL) on the newly operated knee!

    Hello QCF,

I hope you are feeling better today. It's rotten how many hold grudges and don't forgive. It just makes our lives less pleasant. I hope you are feeling better soon. I am having a bad week too if it's any consolation. You are not alone.

    Kate xx
