This sorted calculation by the men running the WTS. and the men previously who devised their own date/year prior to the WTS.

has fraud and deceit written all over it, not just from the expressed calculation itself but the theological information from

the Bible's own teachings. This fraudulent dating comes not from Jehovah as it were but from corrupt devious minds of men

looking for something to proliferate as well cultivate attention toward themselves as people who are attainably special and

distinct . Innate narcissism is typically seen in all of these men.

It worthy to note that as far back as the early 1800's certain men were setting a specific

date toward the return of Christ and his works and putting these proclamations into books to sell to the public, including

William Miller, Nelson Barbour, C T Russell and the IBSA, even today there are charlatans selling books with the similar

proclamations, Jack Van Impe, as one example.

The connecting factor to all of these men is that they were selling literature.

The bible clearly states by Jesus own words that the father is the only one who knows the time and its NOT for mankind

to create specific dates, as well to watch out for false Prophets who say they represent God.

All these men who made intensional dates and proclaimed (sold) them publicly are therefore false prophets and are

going against the bible's instructions.

So whats really wrong at the heart of all of these dating schemes by these men is the actually intent to make

a date unto themselves and to publicly proliferate that date. !!!

Isn't 1878 a date they used to say the 'invisible presence' of Jesus started?

If you take the difference between the Gregorian calendar and the 360 day prophetic years (365.2425 - 360) you get 5.2425

Now, multiply 2520 x 5.2425 = 13211.1 days.

Divide 13211.1 / 365.2425 = 36 years.

1914 - 36 = 1878

Were they using the 360-day years to come up with 1878 before, and then changed it later to 1914?

1874 was the invisible presence, a date Barbour came up, along with 1914 as the end of the Gentile Times. 1878 was predicted as a rapture, but when it didn't happen, it was changed to a heavenly resurrection. Russell adopted all of this from Barbour.

When I look into the Russell's writting, he wrote that Gentile Times ended in 1799 when Napoleon stormed Rome and took a Pope as a prisoner.

The subject of special condemnation in this regard, the masterpiece of Satan, is the old Roman Empire, still living in the Papacy and the Church-State governments of Europe. This system is about contemporaneous with the (seven) Times of the Gentiles (2520 years ending in Oct, 1914), which began in the Fall of 607 B. C., or, as we would say, at the beginning of 606, Jewish Time. Rome was already well started on its upward path at that time.

We could not, of course, know in 1889, whether the date 1914, so clearly marked in the Bible as the end of the Gentile lease of power or permission to rule the world, would mean that they would be fully out of power at that time, or whether, their lease expiring, their eviction would begin. Additionally, Russell came to 1878 by adding 33 years to 1845. If you really looking into crazies of the WT, you can add, substruct, multiple and divide various years to get to whatever date is WT comfortable with and make it as a proof of their guidance of the Holy Spirit. Entire book volume Studies of the Scripture is full of various calculation and multiplication to proof something. Even Austria-Hungary that disintegrated 96 years ago is identified as 10 horn.

1799 was the start of the Last Days, according to Russell and the Adventists, but they held to 1914 as the end of the Gentile Times. For Russell, two seperate concepts. 1914 would be the end of the Last Days.

Londo, so what was 1874, 1878, and 1881? It is hard to follow all this non-sense:

Call to mind that the Scriptures showed us that the full end of Gentile power in the world, and of the time of trouble which brings its overthrow, will follow the end of A.D. 1914, and that some time near that date the last members of the Church of Christ will have been "changed," glorified.
Remember, too, that the Scriptures proved to us in various ways--by the Jubilee Cycles, the 1335 days of Daniel, the Parallel Dispensations, etc.--that the "harvest" or end of this age was due to begin in October, 1874, and that the Great Reaper was then due to be present; that seven
years later--in October, 1881--the "high calling" ceased, though some will be admitted to the same favors afterward, without a general call being made, to fill the places of some of the called ones who, on being tested, will be found unworthy.

It seems Russell just continues pick various dates and years and combined into his nonsense later accepted by WT as a proof that 1914 was the beginning of the end.
